Description
Process for the recovery of paraffin from the high-boiling fraction . the generator or low temperature tar.
Addendum to patent 31-0653. In the 31o653 patent is a method for the processing of generator or low-temperature tar described, after which one from this in addition to a fraction soluble in liquefied sulphurous acid the paraffin present in the tar is obtained in the form of a paraffin mass. Present Invention relates to a method, the paraffin mass with liquefied sulphurous Acid to a very large extent from adhering other oily components to free.
Since working with liquefied sulphurous acid in closed Apparatus must take place, certain difficulties are encountered in carrying out the process due to the difficult accessibility in the closed apparatus built-in filtering devices.
It has now been found that the use of filtering devices in such a way that one can get around the pulp of paraffin crystals, which in the mixture of the above-mentioned distillates with sulphurous acid when standing still settles in a short time as the upper class, from above with further amounts of sulphurous Acid, which is supplied in fine distribution, covers so that this detergent slowly pass through the pulp downwards without stirring it noticeably and can be removed by continuously lowering it at the bottom of the - vessel. It finds a similar process instead of washing out solid substances on suction filters. That this process occurs within the two superimposed media, namely the Paraffin crystal pulp and the sulphurous acid solution of the dissolved oil components, can take place without the aid of a filter cloth as a separating agent, is caused due to the considerable difference in the specific weights of those in question Substances. Paraffin has a specific gravity of 0.82 to 0.84, liquid sulphurous Acid on the other hand 1.35, the sulphurous acid solution of the other oil constituents: hurry stands in between, because the specific weight of these oil components is always below i. Therefore the Sulphurous acid added to the paraffin has a tendency to sink to the bottom until all so-called extract solution is displaced and replaced by pure sulphurous acid is replaced. The small amounts of light paraffin flakes that are produced by the small currents are led downwards, strive for it again very quickly above to reunite with the crystal pulp.
Würde man z. It is easy to see that the process of the outside (Cover) of excretions from aqueous solutions or solutions of the most common organic ] Solvents with the help of nutsches in principle is different. Here these solutions are almost invariably more difficult than that Solvent. Would you z. B. any crystallized from an aqueous solution If you want to wash out salt in the same way with water, you would, even if that Excreted salt accumulates just as smoothly as the paraffin on the surface would, which is very seldom the case, still have to reckon with the fact that there Wash water has a lower specific weight than that to be removed Mother liquors, at least not higher, because there are probably none in technology i11 Consider com - nd'e - f ^ ay-solution- of- = efnerrr lower specific gravity than that of pure water, hence the inevitable precondition would be that the detergent must have a higher -s - specific weight than that to removing mother liquor, not given, and a sinking of the detergent would be not possible.
With the common organic and the few inorganic - Solvents, which are used in technology, are the same. One can by . appropriate shape of the vessels used to carry out the process the process, which is already taking place satisfactorily in a cylindrical vessel, make it even easier, e.g. B. by placing the container just below the settled paraffin paste first there is a narrowing and then a bulbous enlargement, which again is below merges into a constriction; the slowdown taking place at the extended point the flow of liquid facilitates the ascent of the few carried along light crystal tinsel.
