Hierfür sind sogenannte Mehrzweckbühnen bekannt, die nicht nur als Arbeitsplattform dient, die in der Höhe verstellbar ist, sondern mit der gleichzeitig auch ein im rückwärtigen Teil der Strecke vorbereiteter Kappenschirm vor Ort gebracht und dort unter die Streckenfirste gehoben werden kann. Hierzu weist der vordere Teil der Arbeitsbühne einen Ausbauhubtisch auf (DE-OS 25 38 o33). Bekannt sind auch Mehrzweckbühnen (DE-PS 24 11 580), die aus in Bühnenlängsrichtung und versetzt zueinander angeordneten nach unten offenen pontonartigen Abdeckelementen zusammengesetzt sind. Zusätzlich zu den Pontons sind in Bühnenlängsrichtung verlaufende Hohlträger vorgesehen. Vorteil dieser Mehrzweckbühnen ist, daß sie ohne großen Aufwand erweitert oder verkleinert werden kann und daß die verwendeten Abdeckelemente geeignet sind, Hilfsaggregater bestimmter Abmessungen aufzunehmen. Nachteilig bei den bekannten Mehrzweckbühnen ist, daß eine bestimmte Streckenhöhe erforderlich ist, um die Arbeitsabschnitte Wegfüllen des Haufwerks und Ausbauen überlappend durchführen zu können.
