Description

_Device for operating X-ray tubes. In patent 332646 describes a device for operating X-ray tubes, which is a Branch of the required voltages served in such a way that from a single high voltage source Different voltage values can be supplied to different electrodes with the help of a high-voltage resistor, some of which consist of gas discharge paths can. In the course of further work on the expansion of this facility it is particularly advantageous to use the high-voltage resistor instead of the high-voltage resistor or in connection with such a gas discharge path to be used as a discharge path to be designed with a hot cathode operated in a high vacuum. Apart from this, that with a suitable construction such an embodiment constant ratios guaranteed, it offers particular advantages in the event that you are as homogeneous as possible X-rays, as they are used for depth therapy, has to generate. Advantageous conditions arise in particular in the case in which one operates a lily-of-a-kind tube in such a way that the hot cathode tube is used as a branch resistor between the X-ray cathode and the anticathode of the lily field tube. One heats namely the cathode of the branch tube to a certain temperature and ensures that the secondary voltage transformer is as elastic as possible on the primary side in the network, so will as long as the saturation current of the hot cathode for the particular temperature has not yet been reached, nothing worth mentioning between the X-ray cathode and the anti-cathode Potential gradient and therefore no triggering of the X-rays at the anticathode occur. When the saturation current is reached with the increasing voltage becomes, the X-ray voltage rises suddenly to a high value, and you thus suddenly receives the emission of hard radiation without the low voltage Parts of the current curve would have previously triggered the same radiation. It's like that by hand by connecting the elastic circuit of the X-ray transformer and the upstream connection a high-voltage resistor of the appropriate size in front of the branch pipe on the one hand, on the other hand, however, the temperature of the hot cathode of this tube agrees, even at sinusoidal alternating current. the X-ray discharge to the peak values of the voltage to restrict. On the other hand it succeeds, as soon as one deviates the mentioned factors choose, e.g. B. attaches the transformer to an almost rigid primary voltage, arbitrarily to generate complex radiation mixtures. _
