Um diesem Übelstande abzuhelfen, ist es bereits bekannt, den Sitz in der Fahrtrichtung
verschiebbar und feststellbar anzuordnen. Dazu ist eine besonders zu bedienende Einrichtung
erforderlich. Nach der. Erfindung wird die ' Sicherung des Sitzes gegen Verschiebung durch
seine Belastung, also selbsttätig, bewirkt, derart, daß der Schnapper, der zur Sicherung des
Sitzes dient, durch die Polsterfedern bei entlastetem Zustande des Sitzes aus der Zahnstange
ausgehoben und bei Belastung der Polsterfedern zum Einklinken gebracht wird. ;
Darin liegt ein Vorteil der Erfindung, da der i Fahrer beim Aufstehen in der Lage ist, sich
an den Armlehnen des Führersitzes aufzustützen und nur durch die Entlastung der Polsterfedern die Sicherung zu lösen. Dem
Fahrer ist es ferner, namentlich bei längeren, ermüdenden Fahrten, angenehm, von Zeit zu
Zeit seine Entfernung zu den Pedalen und dem Lenkrade zu ändern. Zu diesem Zwecke genügt
es gemäß der Erfindung, wenn der Fahrer sich vom Sitz etwas hebt und den Sitz in die gewünschte neue Lage schiebt. Ist der Sitz un-
belastet, dann ist er verschiebbar und nicht gesichert. Wird er jedoch belastet, so ist er
selbsttätig gesichert und bleibt während der ganzen Dauer der Belastung' unverrückbar in
dieser Lage. Selbstverständlich kann diese Einrichtung statt beim Lenkersitz auch bei
jedem anderen Sitz, im Kraftfahrzeug angewendet werden,. wo eine Verschiebbarkeit des

drehbar um den Bolzen d angebracht ist und
durch eine Blattfeder** ο. dgl. gegen die Zahnstange b gedrückt wird. Ferner" ist noch eine
Kette f mit ihrem einen Ende an dem Schnap-. per c und mit dem anderen Ende am Sitzpolster-vermittels
einer Platte g o. dgl. befestigt. Die Kette ist im -unbelasteten Zustand
