Bei derartigen offenen Systemen muß aber der Kaltwasserbehälter und das Warmwasserausdehnungsgefäß auf gleicher Höhe stehen, da bei höher gestelltem Kaltwasserbehälter ein ständiges Überlaufen des Warmwasserausdehnungsgefäßes bei geringer Wasserentnähme zu befürchten wäre. Es steht also nur eine beschränkte Druckhöhe zur Verfügung, welche bei großem Wasserbedarf in der Zeiteinheit eine unverhältnismäßig große Rohrleitung erforderlich macht.
