So
Device for the prevention of ground vibrations by forging hammers.
As is well known, strong ground vibrations are triggered by the operation of hammers,
which often reproduce far and the installation of blacksmith hammers in the vicinity of inhabited buildings
mostly exclude. The purpose at hand is to avoid these vibrations
Invention. There is no shortage of attempts to lay hammer anvils elastically. So
a device is known that with the help of Sch. ° aubenfedem and included
atmospheric air is supposed to absorb and slow down the impact. Such facilities
can, however, not be sufficient for the intended purpose, because they do so as a result of the blow
Do not offer considerable resistance to falling anvils until
he has already come a long way: the way of the anvil, however, must be very great
be small if such a device is to be operationally useful. the
disturbing ground vibrations with at the same time extremely short path of the anvil; .es
to prevent, is the purpose of the present invention.
For this purpose, as Fig. Z shows, the hammer anvil is used as a piston
einer'Druckluftzylinders b formed. Through tube c there is pressure under the
Piston guided, the non-return valve prevents the compressed air from flowing back.
At rest, the piston is pressed against the cover e. If there is a blow, so
it descends, compressing the compressed air more strongly and that which is transmitted to the anvil
Part: derg_. Impact work is converted into compression work. The condensed
Air drives the piston back to its starting position. So that the piston
without impact against the dachshund e, there is a suction valve f and a throttle valve g.
appropriate. When the piston descends, air is sucked in through the suction valve,
which is compressed during high gear and driven out by the adjustable throttle valve
will.
Eine andere Ausführungsform ist in Fig. --
dargestellt. a bis
Another embodiment is shown in Figure - illustrated.. a to e have the same meaning as in Fig. r, h is a hollow space inside the bear, which is closed off by the heavy non-return valve from the space below the piston and is connected to it through the narrow bore k. When the piston descends, valve i opens as a result of its inertia and thus allows some of the air compressed under the piston to flow into the cavity; During the upward gear, the valve is closed, so that only 'the;.', air located under the piston expands and drives the piston up. Since the compression space is considerably enlarged by the connected 'hollow', the final pressure of the air remains considerably below that in the first case and, during the re-expansion, the normal pressure resulting from the blow is considerably lower. -This means that the piston is lifted more slowly, and it is possible to get by with lighter air buffering over the piston. The pressures under the piston and in the cavity h soon equalize through the bore.
While "with the ordinary anvil: the blow of the hammer almost
instantly and in great strength on the ground is here
there is no longer any question of an actual shock. The maximum pressure on the substructure
corresponds to the increase in air pressure under the pistons. The push work will
in, compression work and this converted into air friction and - so in the simplest way
Way neutralized.
