Abstract

1. Tear-open package for freshly printed parcels of notes of value, characterised in that the detachable or tearable section (5a) of the packaging material (5), defined by the tearing line (8, 9, 10, 11), encloses the zone of a parcel edge (6), along which the corners of the notes of value (3) which form the parcel (1) are superimposed on one another, that the tearing line (8, 9, 10, 11) lies, at least approximately, in a plane parallel to this parcel edge (6) and passing through the parcel (1) of the notes of value, this plane forming one facet of a straight triangular prism which includes this parcel edge (6) as a side edge, and that the tearable section (5a) has dimensions in the directions at right angles to said parcel edge (6) which are considerably smaller than the narrow side of a note of value (3), in such way that the zone of the parcel which can be exposed by tearing permits counting of the notes of value (3), but not withdrawing of a note of value (3), without destroying the remaining package.
