Orthopedic appliances are usually built so that that of a plate or the
The foot section is shaped like a natural foot at a right angle to the lower leg section
is set. One has tried the so-called unwinding of the foot, namely
the transfer of body weight from the heel to the front part of the foot construction
to facilitate while walking by the fact that in the first-mentioned construction
the front of the plate has been bent open around the distance from the front edge of the plate
from the hip joint or from the center of gravity of the patient, or it was
in the second-mentioned construction, the artificial foot with an artificial ankle joint
provided, which a bending movement of the foot or foot part relative to the lower leg part
allowed. This has the disadvantage that at the end of the step phase of the leg, so
when the leg is at the back and the toe is stressed, the physical one
The center of gravity is closer to the ground than when walking naturally.
So at the end of the step phase of the sick leg there is a drop in the
physical focus, what a more or less noticeable limp and a
Shortening the stride length conditionally. Another disadvantage is that noting
of the knee joint in artificial legs usually due to the action of the ground pressure
the knee takes place in the sense of overstretching the knee joint. When the
Heel (when stepping on) the effect in terms of this hyperextension is less
than at the moment of loading the toe, since the knee axis is opposite this
is shifted further backwards than opposite the heel. By rounding off
the front footplate upwards and through a resilience of the artificial foot
above as a result of the possibility of flexion in the ankle joint, this occurs more frequently
Knee protection either not at all or only in a much later step phase.
These disadvantages are avoided by the present construction, in which the processing
of the foot not only in the right-angled but also in the equinus position
is made possible. It is a position of the foot in which the angle between
The foot and lower leg is larger than a right angle, which helps when stepping
the distance of the ball of the foot from the hip joint is greater than that of one below the right
Angle adjusted foot part. This processing is achieved in that a special
Heel part is provided, the. under the action of a tensionable upon occurrence
Fader is set, which snaps up when the foot is unwound and the body weight
unwinds over the tilting edge of the forefoot. This arrangement has the advantage that
it makes the ankle joint dispensable
and that this makes them as

In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel veranschaulicht. An exemplary embodiment is illustrated in the drawing.
