Abstract

Window bars are traditionally offered in a wooden version by the relevant trade and represent a component of the whole window. Correspondingly, glass used for this is cut to the size of the available recesses, inserted and puttied or secured internally by strips. In the present technical operation, the bars can be installed subsequently. The barred-window imitation is simply placed on the insulating glazing, which is today frequently present, and is anchored on the frame according to my present drawing. Any window can be subdivided to any size by the "cross insertion connection part" in injection-moulded plastic form. This matter of concern arises in particular today in the modernisation of old houses. In general, those responsible for the protection of historical monuments regret that, in a case of good restoration, for the most part the windows are the only structural element to turn out stylistically incongruously. All previous efforts in this area were not satisfactory as they are either solved traditionally and thus cost-intensively or internally and thus stylistically incongruously.
