Abstract
Description
Be- undThe invention relates to a device for loading and
Ventilation formed by the lens, housing and reflector Interior of headlights for vehicles, in particular motor vehicles, with a Ventilation channel on the lower edge of the housing and a ventilation channel on the upper edge of the housing.
The ventilation of the interior of motor vehicle headlights is required to prevent condensation on the inside of the To prevent the diffuser and / or on the reflector. Such condensation would one day severely impair the luminosity of the headlight; on the other hand it would cause corrosion of the reflector and thus premature uselessness cause the same.
A device of the type mentioned is by the DE-OS 30 04 413 became known. The one shown and described in this document Headlight has an air inlet in its lower section and an air inlet in its upper Section an air outlet. Furthermore, in the known device there is a channel, into which the air outlet opens, in the side or rear section of the headlight arranged so that the rearward sloping channel opening with the leading edge protrudes into the airstream. The known ventilation device is relatively complicated built up and therefore causes relatively high costs. In addition, it is not ensured that through the lower air inlet that through the lower air inlet / splash water gets inside the headlight.
The object of the present invention is to provide a device of the initially designated type so that a simple and cost-saving production is made possible and at the same time a faster and more even condensate reduction takes place, the penetration of splash water should be effectively avoided.
According to the invention this object is achieved in that the ventilation channel integrated in the lower headlight mount and in itself known way is designed as a labyrinth seal and that as a ventilation channel two laterally offset openings in the upper edge of the headlamp are used, through a channel extending along the upper edge of the housing with one another are connected.
By integrating the lower ventilation duct according to the invention those previously used in the lower headlight attachment are advantageously omitted additional parts such as grommets and the like. This becomes an essential Cost reduction achieved, especially since the assembly effort is reduced accordingly. By evenly distributing the upper ventilation openings on the edge of the headlight housing a uniform condensate breakdown on the inside of the diffuser can advantageously be achieved reach.
From DE-OS 22 34 137 it is known per se, at the bottom To attach a maze to the edge of a spotlight. But this has - different of the present application - only the task of condensate from the headlight housing to the outside and to prevent the ingress of splash water. A be- and ventilation within the meaning of the present invention is the subject of DE-OS 22 34 137 not provided. Rather, there should be the air inside the headlight housing guided in a cycle and thereby deliberately a precipitation of condensation water on the back of the headlight.
In an advantageous development of the invention, it is proposed that the Ventilation channel designed as a labyrinth seal - as with signal lights sich'known - to open into the assigned wheel arch of the vehicle. Of the The ventilation channel is therefore in a relatively cool zone, which effectively prevents becomes that strongly enriched with moisture air is sucked in. This measure thus acts preventively against the formation of condensation on the inside the lens off.
According to DE-GM 1 763 247, it is true for signal lights of motor vehicles known per se, a ventilation channel for the Signal light in to let the assigned wheel arch open.
The known measure is not used for the targeted supply of relatively cool air to the signal light, but rather it results inevitably from the fact that such signal lights functionally on the wheel arches of the vehicle are arranged.
Fig. 2 in Pfeilrichtung Z gesehen, Fig. 4 die untere Scheinwerferbefestigung im Querschnitt (in gegenüber Fig. 1 vergrößerter Darstellung), und Fig. 5 einen Schnitt längs der Linie V-V in Fig. 4.Further refinements and advantages of the invention can be found in the subclaims and - using an exemplary embodiment - from the drawing and the following Description of the drawing can be found. It shows: FIG. 1 a motor vehicle headlight in front view, Fig. 2 a section along the line II-II in Fig. 1 (enlarged) 3 shows the object of FIG. 1 or FIG. 2 viewed in the direction of arrow Z, FIG. 4 the lower headlight attachment in cross section (enlarged compared to FIG. 1 Representation), and FIG. 5 shows a section along the line V-V in FIG. 4.
It denotes 10 the diffuser and 11 the housing of the in FIG. 1 Motor vehicle headlight shown in front view.
The parts arranged in the interior 12 (Fig. 2) of the headlight, such as reflector, incandescent lamp and the like, correspond to the usual design and are therefore not shown in detail.
From FIG. 2 it can be seen that the edge 13 facing the housing 11 the lens 10 is designed as a flange and to a cross-section approximately T-shaped flange seal 14 adjoins. The flange seal 14 in turn borders the edge of the headlight housing 11, which consists of a flange 11 'and one above a web 11 "formed on the housing, in cross-section approximately Z-shaped bar 15 is formed. The flange 13 of the lens 10 and the flange seal 14 are on the upper edge of the headlight from the free leg 15 ' the bar 15 assaulted. The adjoining parts 13, 14, 15 are, as Fig. 1 and 2 show, overlapped by a plurality of clamping lugs 16 arranged at a distance from one another and are thus held in their assembly position shown in FIG.
A ventilation opening is used to vent the headlight interior 12 17 on the edge 11 ′ of the headlight housing 11 adjoining the flange seal 14. The vent opening 17 opens into a one in the direction of arrow 18 (Fig. 1 and 3) extending channel 19, of the flange all ', the web 11 "and the leg 21 of the Z-shaped bar 15 is formed and in which the rearward extending T-bar of the flange seal 14 engages to fix the seal 14 on the housing 11. The channel 19 finally ends in a second vent opening 20, which is located in the extends at right angles to the channel 19 and incorporated into the housing web 11 " is. As can be seen in FIG. 3, the two ventilation openings 17 are thereby opened and 20 arranged offset to one another in the lateral direction (arrow 18). The channel 19 and the two vent openings 17, 20 are here moved backwards from the extending and numbered with 21 flange part (legs) of the Z-shaped in cross-section Bar 15 covered. The through the vent openings 17, 20 and the channel 19 The exhaust air routing caused is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 by a dot-dash line 22 made clear.
In Fig. 4 and 5, the air supply is now in the interior 12 of the Illustrated headlight housing. It denotes here 23 that for fastening of the headlight housing 11 serving body panel in the front area of the vehicle.
The body panel 23 has two recesses 24, 25 into which a Receiving part 26 is clipped in by means of retaining clips 27, 28. The receiving part 26 is symmetrically formed and can be made of plastic. In the middle of the receiving part 26, a ventilation pipe 29 with a continuous ventilation hole 30 is formed. The ventilation tube 29 protrudes down through the body panel 23 through and is in a manner not shown with that on the relevant Headlight side located wheel arch of the vehicle connected.
As FIGS. 4 and 5 further show, the receiving part 26 has a approximately semicircular cylinder-shaped recess 31 into which a molded onto the housing 11, correspondingly semicircular cylinder-shaped thickening 32 engages. In the Housing parts 32 designed as a thickening are, in a symmetrical arrangement, two Ventilation openings 33, 34 laterally offset from the central ventilation pipe 29 incorporated. The two ventilation openings 33, 34 are parallel to each other and parallel to the ventilation pipe 29 and to the one penetrating the ventilation pipe 29 Ventilation hole 30 arranged. The housing part 32 designed as a thickening also has a recess 35 into which the upper part of the central ventilation pipe is located 29 of the receiving part 26 extends into it. Due to the design described and Arrangement forms the ventilation hole 30 of the ventilation pipe 29 together with the laterally offset ventilation openings 33, 34 and the recess 35 a labyrinth seal, the penetration of splash water from the wheel arch into the headlight housing effectively prevented.
