Andererseits muß der Agar-Nährboden vor der Beimpfung, also während der Vorratshaltung derartiger Schalen (zwischen Herstellung und Benutzung) absolut keimfrei gehalten werden. Aus diesem Grunde muß man die bekannten Petrischalen banderolieren, d.h. den Spalt zwischen Deckel und Schale, der zum Luftaustausch während der Bebrütung erforderlich ist, vor der Benutzung mit einem Klebestreifen rundurn abdecken. Dies ist ein arbeitszeitaufwendiger Arbeitsgang.
