Packaged goods, especially food, are nowadays increasingly being offered for sale in plastic packaging. These plastic packages have a packaging tray in which the packaged product is located and a lid film. The lidding foil is sealed to the packaging tray. Since the packaged goods are often not consumed immediately after opening, it is advantageous if the pack can be resealed after opening.

There has therefore been no lack of attempts in the past to provide resealable packaging. Examples which may be mentioned here are only EP 0 564 695, DE 39 25 746, EP 0 386 490, DE 39 41 183, EP 0 408 516, WO 97/05023, EP 0 716 986, EP 0 595 368, EP 0 579 262, EP 0 506 295, EP 0 427 513, EP 0 427 512, EP 0 385 565, EP 0 381 329 or EPO 379 927, in which either methods and devices for producing a resealable packaging and / or the resealable packaging itself are taught ,

All reclosable packages disclosed in the above publications either have the disadvantage of being expensive to produce and / or poorly resealable.

The German patent application with the file number DE 198 59 042.3 teaches a plastic packaging provided with knobs from a packaging tray and a lid film, wherein the lid film is sealed in the sealing area at least partially peelable to the packaging tray and the lidding film or the packaging tray at least one knob and the packaging tray or Cover film complementary thereto has at least one recess through which the nub is inserted, so that the plastic package is re-closed after opening.

A disadvantage found in the provided with knobs plastic packaging that the consumer of the sealed packaging usually can not see how much the packaging is still in the unopened original state or whether the packaging has already been opened. Consumers generally assume that the contents of the original sealed packaging are undamaged. Plastic packaging for perishable foodstuffs, in particular with knobs, unsettles the consumer.

The present invention is therefore based on the object to provide a provided with at least one knob plastic packaging that does not have the disadvantages of the prior art.

This object is achieved by the provision of a plastic packaging from a packaging tray and a cover film, wherein the lid film is sealed in the sealing region at least partially peelable to the packaging tray and the lid film or the packaging tray at least one nub and the packaging tray or lid film complementary to at least one Recess has, through which the knob (s) is inserted when sealing the plastic packaging or, wherein at least a portion of at least one knob is provided with a sealing material or preferably at least a portion of at least one knob and the edge region of the complementary Ausspaarung connected to a sealing material are damaged when opening the package for the first time.

A packaging tray in the sense of the invention is any packaging tray familiar to the person skilled in the art, which has been produced from a thermoplastic and dimensionally stable single-layer or multi-layer film which is preferably customary for the packaging of foods.
The film must have on at least one of its two surfaces a sealing layer which is peelable. The sealing layer used is preferably a mixture of LDPE (low density polyethylene) and a polybutylene. The mixture preferably contains 15 to 30% by weight, particularly preferably 20 to 28% by weight, of polybutylene. Preferably, the polybutylene has a melt index (MFI) in the range of 0.3 to 2.0 g / 10 min (190 ° C and 216 kg according to ASTM 1238).
Particularly preferably, the packaging tray is produced from a multilayer film with a foamed carrier film, preferably a foamed polyolefin film, particularly preferably polypropylene film.
Most preferably, the packaging tray is made of a film, as disclosed in the patent application with the file number of the German Patent Office 198 40 046.2. This patent application is hereby incorporated by reference and thus forms part of the disclosure.
The thermoformed, preferably thermoformed packaging trays are closed after filling with the packaged product with a specialist, familiar, preferably thermoformable lidding film. Particularly suitable as lid films are multilayer films with a gas barrier layer of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer, preferably of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) / adhesion promoter layer / polyethylene / adhesion promoter layer / ethylene / vinyl alcohol copolymer / adhesion promoter layer / polyethylene, wherein the polyethylene terephthalate layer may be replaced by polypropylene.
If the cover film of the packaging according to the invention has the recess, it may also have SiO x as a gas barrier layer. Preferably, then the cover sheet of PET / SiO x / adhesion promoter / polyethylene is constructed.
