Bei dem in der beiliegenden Zeichnung dargestellten Schraubenschlüssel sind die am Kopfende in der Richtung der Längsachse stehenden Backen aa_x verstellbar eingerichtet; dieselben werden vermittelst der sich über einander schiebenden Lappen b bezw. b_x zwischen dem abgeflachten, entsprechend ausgeschlitzten Kopf des Schlüsselschaftes gehalten und erhalten in den Rinnen c C₁ durch die Leisten d bezw. ά_λ besondere Führung. Die Verstellung der beiden Backen wird durch die an den Lappen drehbar angebrachten Schenkel ff_x vermittelt, deren andere Enden scharnierartig in dem Kopf g der Schraube s vereinigt sind. Die letztere liegt in dem hohlen, runden Schlüsselschaft h und kann vermittelst der auf dem 'Schaftende sitzenden, durch den Stift e in einer entsprechenden Eindrehung gehaltenen Mutter m vorwärts und rückwärts bewegt werden.
