Dieser Schwimmkörper ist für gewöhnlich mit dem Unterseeboot nach Art der bekannten Rettungskammern lösbar verbunden und von diesem aus mittels eines verschließbaren Mannloches zugänglich. Er hat zweckmäßig eine längliche Form und stellt gewissermaßen ein kleines Unterseeboot dar, das in an sich bekannter Weise teilweise in das Tauchboot eingebaut sein kann. Nach seiner Loslösung vom Tauchboot bleibt es mittels einer abrollbaren und wieder aufwindbaren Leine und einer Telephonleitung mit dem Boot verbunden.
