Die Erfindung bietet eine Neuerung- an Maschinen zur Erzeugung des Langschliffs an Schreibfedern und ähnlichen halbrunden Gebilden, bei \velchen die Federn durch eine runde, elastisch gelagerte Schleifscheibe bearbeitet werden, deren Mittelebene in der Längsrichtung der Feder liegt.
