Um bei Herstellung eines eisernen Oberbaues für Strafsen- und Secundärbahnen nur eine gewöhnliche Vignolschiene in Verbindung mit einer Langschwelle zur Verwendung zu bringen, wird die Vignolschiene α auf der /—"\-förmigen Langschwelle b derart befestigt, dafs auf der äufseren Seite des Geleises noch Platz für die Befestigungsschraube c mit ihrer Klemmplatte bleibt, während auf der inneren Seite die Fufskante der Schiene mit der Oberkante der Schwelle abschliefst. Es ist dies jedoch um so weniger bedenklich, als der Angriff des Spurkranzes doch immer bewirkt, dafs die Schwelle eher nach aufsen kantet, und dies soll die gröfsere Auflagerfläche auf der Aufsenseite verhindern. Auf der inneren Seite des Geleises geschieht die Befestigung vermittelst der Kralle d, welche den Schienenfufs festhält und an den abwärtsgehenden Theil der Langschwelle angeschraubt ist. An denjenigen Stellen, an welchen, wie z.
