Die Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, daß Lederkohle, nach vorgenanntem Verfahren hergestellt, einen weit höheren Prozentsatz an leicht ausziehbaren Fetten und Ölen enthält, wie solcher bisher aus Leder oder Lederabfällen gewonnen werden konnte. Durch das vorliegende Verfahren ist dies möglich geworden. Zu diesem Zwecke werden Leder bzw. Lederabfälle im Autoklaven bei 140 bis 280° C sowie bei etwa 30 bis 10 Atm. Druck erhitzt.
