Durch das Patent 144465 ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von Schmiermitteln geschützt, die sich selbst bei hohem Druck und hohen Dampfspannungen nicht zersetzen und daher auch un,ter diesen Verhältnissen keinen Verschleiß der Schmierflächen im Dampfzylinder infolge frei werdender Fettsäure verursachen. Das Verfahren besteht darin, daß das von den Wollfettsäuren befreite, neutrale Wollfett, Roh-Lanolin oder Wollwachs eventuell mit Mineralölen gemischt, gleichzeitig hohem Druck und hoher Temperatur ausgesetzt wird, so daß also die betreffenden Schmiermittel schon bei ihrer Herstellung den später bei ihrer Verwendung als Schmiermaterial herrschenden Bedingungen unterworfen werden.
