Nachstehend beschriebene Neuerung bezieht sich auf Kerzen für alle Zwecke, hauptsächlich aber für solche, die zum Aufstecken auf Weihnachtsbäumen bestimmt sind.
Es waren früher Kerzenhalter für Weihnachtskerzen im Gebrauch, welche in die Äste der Weihnachtsbäume eingesteckt, und in welche wieder die Kerzen eingeklemmt wurden. Diese Halter, die an sich ja ziemlich einfach waren,The innovation described below relates to candles for all purposes, but mainly for those intended to be attached to Christmas trees.

Diese Nachteile zu beseitigen und dabei eine äußerst billige Befestigung der Kerzen zu erzielen, ist der Zweck der folgenden Neuerung. Auf der Zeichnung ist in Fig. 1 eine normale Kerze α mit fest eingegossener Stecknadel b mit Kopf h gezeichnet. Diese Ausführung kommt aber für Weihnachtsbäume nicht in Betracht, da hier unbedingt ein Abtropfblech c, wie Fig. 2 zeigt, angebracht werden muß. Das Abtropf blech c ist trichterförmig ausgebildet, damit die Kerze auf die schrägsten Äste immer noch senkrecht aufgesteckt werden kann. Das Abtropfblech hat in seiner Kegelspitze ein Loch e, durch welches die Einstecknadel b in den Ast d des Weihnachtsbaumes gesteckt wird und dadurch die Kerze α feststeckt und gleichzeitig das Abtropfblech c festhält. Damit das Abtropfblech c gut festsitzt, hat die Kerze α unten genau dieselbe Form wie das Abtropfblech selbst. Der Docht f der Kerze α ist nur bis zum Kopf h der Einstecknadel b geführt, damit beim Herunterbrennen der Kerze das untere Stückchen stehenbleibt und den Abtropftrichter c immer noch festhält.The purpose of the following innovation is to eliminate these disadvantages and thereby achieve an extremely cheap fastening of the candles.
