Der vorliegende neue Kerzenlöscher besteht, wie aus der Zeichnung ersichtlich, aus einer Scheere, deren beide dünnen, scharf geschliffenen Blätter α durch die auf die Griffe b wirkende Feder c geschlossen gehalten werden. Die Blätter α sind auf ihrer unteren Seite mit elastischen Anlegefüfsen oder Haltern d versehen, mittelst deren die Vorrichtung an der Kerze mit festgehalten wird. Aufserdem befindet sich in der Mitte der Schneide jedes Blattes ein der Dochtstärke entsprechender, aber etwas längerer, stumpfer Einschnitt e.
