Die Erfindung geht dabei von der Erkenntnis aus, daß es vorteilhaft ist, ein Verlängerungskabel in die Steckdose zu integrieren und die Steckdose so auszugestalten, daß der Steckerbereich von dem Anschlußbereich trennbar und mit diesem nur über das Verlängerungskabel verbunden ist. Auf diese Weise kann einerseits die Steckdose wie die bekannten Steckdosen fest montiert sein, der Steckerbereich kann jedoch bei Bedarf aus der Steckdose entnommen und an eine - soweit das Stromkabel reicht - beliebige Stelle im Raum gebracht werden, an der dann Strom verfugbar ist. Das mit Strom zu versorgende Gerät muß somit nicht mehr in der Nähe der fest montierten Steckdose betrieben werden. Außerdem muß kein separates Verlängerungskabel verwendet und an anderer Stelle verwahrt werden, sondern das Verlängerungskabel ist in die Steckdose integriert, wobei es innerhalb der Steckdose in der Kabelvorratseinrichtung von außen unsichtbar verwahrt wird.
