Nach dem Grundgedanken der Erfindung ist in der Basis der Aufnahmevorrichtung eine Ausnehmung vorgesehen. Durch diese Ausnehmung, die unterhalb des aufzunehmenden Geflügels angeordnet ist, kann heiße Luft und Strahlungswärme hindurchtreten und in das Innere des Geflügels gelangen. Dadurch erfolgt eine besonders schnelle Erhitzung und ein schneller und schonender Bratvorgang des Geflügels. Insbesondere bei Enten entwickelt sich auch ein Kamineffekt, wobei die heiße Luft durch das Innere des von der Aufnahmevorrichtung aufgenommenen Geflügels geführt wird. Hierdurch lassen sich die Bratzeiten wesentlich reduzieren. Ein weiterer Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Aufnahmevorrichtung besteht darin, daß durch die in der Basis der Aufnahmevorrichtung vorgesehene Ausnehmung Gewürze, Feuchtigkeit oder andere Zutaten injiziert werden können. Dadurch wird ein besonders guter Braterfolg erreicht, da das von der Aufnahmevorrichtung aufgenommene Geflügel nicht nur von außen, sondern auch von innen zugänglich ist.
