Claims (6)

1. Steckfassung für eine Leuchtdiode, insbesondere für die Halterung von Leuchtdioden im Bereich einer Öffnung in der Begrenzungswand einer Decken-, Wand- oder Standleuchte, mit einem hinter der Öffnung angeordneten Steckgehäuse, in welches Kontaktelemente der Leuchtdioden einsteckbar sind, wobei die Kontaktelemente und das Steckgehäuse mit einer die falsche Polung verhindernden Codierung versehen sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Kontaktelemente die unterschiedlich lang ausgebildeten Kontakt­ drähte (11a, 11b) der Leuchtdiode (3) verwendet werden und daß die Gehäuse­ kontakte (10a, 10b) in dem Steckgehäuse (8) unterschiedlich tief angeordnet sind, derart, daß die Kontaktdrähte (11a, 11b) der Leuchtdiode (3) nur bei richti­ ger Polung mit beiden Gehäusekontakten (10a, 10b) in Berührung kommen.1.Socket for a light-emitting diode, in particular for holding light-emitting diodes in the area of an opening in the boundary wall of a ceiling, wall or free-standing lamp, with a plug housing arranged behind the opening, into which contact elements of the light-emitting diodes can be inserted, the contact elements and that Plug housing are provided with a coding preventing the wrong polarity, characterized in that the contact wires of different lengths ( 11 a, 11 b) of the light-emitting diode ( 3 ) are used as contact elements and that the housing contacts ( 10 a, 10 b) in the plug housing ( 8 ) are arranged at different depths, such that the contact wires ( 11 a, 11 b) of the light-emitting diode ( 3 ) come into contact with both housing contacts ( 10 a, 10 b) only when the polarity is correct. 2.
