Die Erfindung betrifft die Konstruktion von dreidimensionalen Gittern aus pyramidenförmigen Elementen, wobei diese Elemente drei-, vier- oder sechskantig gestaltet sein können und miteinander verbunden sind. Die Spitzen der pyramidenförmigen Elemente können abgeflacht sein. Diese Konstruktion soll als Zwischenschicht für die Herstellung von Platten und gewölbten Schalen verwendet werden. Diese beiden Verbindungsarten haben einige Nachteile: Sie benötigen eine komplizierte und aufwendige Technologie, die Verbindungsstellen sind auf die Qualität der Verbindung unzureichend überprüfbar und unterliegen besonders an den Klebestellen Alterungserscheinungen.
