Für den Anwender besteht das Problem, aus der Vielzahl der in Apotheken und Drogerien angebotenen Heilkräutern die für ihn richtigen herauszufinden und im richtigen Moment zur Verfugung zu haben. Für einen Privathaushalt wäre es unwirtschaftlich, sämtliche in Apotheken und Drogerien erhältliche Heilkräuter, Heilpflanzenextrakte etc. zu bevorraten. Daher werden in Privathaushalten, wenn überhaupt, nur einige wenige getrocknete Heilkräuter wie Pfefferminze oder Kamille, meistens in Beuteln verpackt, bevorratet. In bzw. an der Box ist ein Inhaltsverzeichnis mit denselben durchlaufenden Nummern und zugeordneten Inhaltsangaben für die Dosen/ Gläser/ Beutelverpackungen untergebracht, deren Inhalt auf diese Weise sofort eindeutig identifizierbar ist. Weil außen an den Dosen/ Gläsern/ Beuteln auch noch der Name des jeweiligen Naturheilrnittels angebracht ist, sind unbeabsichtigte Verwechslungen der verschiedenen Mittel so gut wie ausgeschlossen.
