Wurzelkanälen eines Zahnes, zum Zweck dessen Erhaltung, Füllungsmaterialien als Pasten, Metall-, Kunststoff-, oder Guttapercha-Stifte
oder mit chemoplastischen oder thermoplastischen Materialien ummantelte Metall- oder Kunststoffspitzen zu benutzen. Allen diesen
Wurzelfüllmethoden ist gleichermaßen gemein, daß diese den Kanal auf volle Länge in einem Stück ausfüllen und, falls im Anschluß an die
Wurzelbehandlung ein Wurzelstift gesetzt werden soll, wieder aufgebohrt werden müssen, wobei diese Füllungen wieder teilweise entfernt werden.
Hierbei wird oftmals durch die Zugwirkung des Bohrers die Wurzelfüllung gelockert und die Abdichtung wird beeinträchtigt, so daß wiederum
Bakterien in den Wurzelkanal eindringen können. Weiterhin haben gleichmäßig konische Träger von plastischen Füllungsmaterialien den
Nachteil, daß beim Einbringen des ummantelten Kerns die plastische Masse abgestreift. In diesem Fall wird das Zielgebiet, der unteren Abschnitt des

Die mit der Erfindung erzielten Vorteile liegen darin, daß das Instrument

des Füllkörpers aus zwei verschieden konischen rotationssymetrischen Körpern besteht, die mit plastischem Füllungsmaterial ummantelt sind. Der
Spitzenteil des Kerns weist hierbei eine bedeutend schwächer Konizität auf. als der hintere Teil, in dem das Stäbchen lösbar befestigt ist.
Daraus entsteht der Vorteil, daß bei gleichmäßig konischer Ummantelung dieses Kerns mit plastischem oder thermoplastischem Material im
Spitzenbereich mehr Füllungsmaterial angebracht und in die abzudichtende Region eingebracht werden kann. Zudem sorgt der größere Konuswinkel
des oberen Teils des Kerns dafür, daß der Durchmesser erheblich größer wird als bei gleichmäßger Konizität. Daurch läßt sich das
Einführungsstäbchen im Kern befestigen und der harte Rand des Kerns verhindert durch seinen Kontakt mit der Wand des Wurzelkanals oder die
