Dabei sind die Elektrolumineszenzmittel bei verschlossenem Fahrzeug ausgeschaltet und bei geöffnetem Fahrzeug angeschaltet. Im Bereich des heckseitigen Stoßfängers 2 wie auch des frontseitigen Stoßfängers 3 ist jeweils ein umlaufend verlegtes Elektrolumineszenzband 4 vorgesehen, das einen Kunststoffpufferabschnitt des Stoßfängers 2, der sich über die gesamte Breite des Stoßfängers 2 erstreckt, umrahmt. Ein Elektrolumineszenzband 5 ist längs eines Türschwellers unterhalb der Seitentüren 7 über die gesamte Länge dieses Türschwellers verlegt. Ein Elektrolumineszenzstreifen 6 erstreckt sich in einem Dachrahmenbereich längs einer nicht näher dargestellten Dachrinne über die beiden Seitentüren auf jeder Seite des Personenkraftwagens 1. Alle Elektrolumineszenzmittel sind an ein fahrzeugfestes Bordnetz angeschlossen und durch eine zentrale Bordsteuerung angesteuert. Alle Elektrolumineszenzelemente des Fahrzeuginnenraumes sind in entsprechenden Innenverkleidungsteilen integriert und unterhalb der Fahrzeugbordkante angeordnet. Wie anhand der Fig. 2 erkennbar ist, ist die Seitentür 7 mit einem Türinnengriff 9 versehen, der in einer Türinnenverkleidung 8 integriert ist. Der Türinnengriff 9 ist von einem umlaufenden Elektrolumineszenzband 10 umschlossen. Unterhalb eines Armlehnenbereiches 11 der Türinnenverkleidung 8 ist ein Elektrolumineszenzstreifen 12 positioniert, der zur Ausleuchtung eines Fußraumes der Beifahrerseite dient. In den fahrer- und beifahrerseitigen Fußräumen können weitere Elektrolumineszenzelemente vorgesehen sein, die die unbeleuchteten Bereiche ausleuchten. Gleiches gilt auch für fondseitige Fußräume. Auch die Elektrolumineszenzelemente 10, 12 des Fahrzeuginnenraumes sind an das fahrzeugfeste Bordnetz angeschlossen und über die zentrale Bordsteuerung ansteuerbar. Vorzugsweise werden die Elektrolumineszenzelemente 10, 12 mit dem Öffnen einer Tür aktiviert, so daß sie gemeinsam mit weiteren Innenbeleuchtungen an- und abgeschaltet werden können.The interior of the passenger car 1 contains several electroluminescent elements, which are shown only as examples in Fig. 2.
