Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur information von Fahrzeugführern durch verkehrsrelevante Informationen.The invention relates to a device for informing vehicle drivers with traffic-relevant information.
Bisher ist es bekannt, Verkehrsinformationen über Radio (Verkehrsfunk) und automatische Verkehrswechselzeichen (automatische Umleitungszeichen bei Stau) weiterzugeben. Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, eine zentrale Leitstelle zur Eingabe und Auswahl von verkehrsreievanten Informationen und zumindest einer Anzeigevorrichtung zur dezentralen Anzeige der ausgewählten Informationen vorzusehen. Hierbei soll die zentrale Leitstelle der verkehrsrelevanten Informationen für jede Anzeigevorrichtung so auswählen, daß jeweils die Informationen angezeigt sind, die für den der Anzeigevorrichtung nachfolgenden Streckenabschnitt relevant sind. Dadurch, daß feste Anzeigevorrichtungen verwendet werden, ist es in vorteilhafter Weise mit geringem Aufwand möglich, für jede Anzeigevorrichtung die für den nachfolgenden Streckenabschnitt relevanten Informationen auszuwählen, ohne daß, wie beispielsweise in Fahrzeugen, zuvor eine Bestimmung des Standortes erfolgen muß. Raststätte Gelegenheit hat, kurz anzuhalten und so auch komplexere Informationen erfassen kann, ohne hierdurch bei der Führung des Fahrzeuges beeinträchtigt zu sein. In diesem Zusammenhang besteht auch für den Fahrer die Möglichkeit, auf Grundlage der durch die Anzeigevorrichtung erhaltenen Informationen eine neue Fahrtroute zu bestimmen oder das Fahrzeug entsprechend vorzubereiten.It is therefore proposed that the display device should preferably be arranged at petrol stations and rest areas. Derartige &iacgr;&ogr; Überwachungseinrichtungen sind in an sich bekannter Weise an bestimmten Streckenabschnitten der Deutschen Bundesautobahnen vorgesehen und erfassen hier Verkehrsdichte und Witterungsverhältnisse. Diese Informationen werden bisher nur verwendet, um mit Hilfe von Verkehrswechselzeichen Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkungen für einzelne Streckenabschnitte zu erzeugen.The information can be entered from the well-known road condition reports and traffic reports prepared by the road patrol and police. Wie in Fig. 1 beispielhaft dargestellt, kann das Textdisplay 6 nähere Erläuterungen zu den Piktogrammen 7 bis 10 enthalten. Im dargestellten Beispiel wird zu den Witterungsverhältnissen auch der Ort angegeben, an dem die Witterungsverhältnisse zu erwarten sind. Darüber hinaus dient das Textdisplay zur Anzeige von Informationen zur Verkehrsdichte und zu Verkehrsstaus; im dargestellten Beispiel wird ein Stau vor München angekündigt.
