Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
In order to avoid the losses incurred by the arable farmers when sowing the grain be knocked over or depressed by storm, hail or rain, it has already been suggested that before the seed grows across the field, stretching crossed cords at a suitable height above the ground, between which the seed grows and from which it is supported and thus prevented is going to lie down. The arrangements proposed for this purpose are, however, closed has been costly and has become too cumbersome to install, which is why they have not been so commonly used and have the desired economic benefits have granted.
The present invention awakens the laying of smooth cords over posts in diamonds of suitable size, the sides of which e.g. B. be a length of 1.5 m, for z. B- rye or wheat seeds and the related use of posts or rods made of wood and preferably without fittings of any kind, such as loops, hooks or the like, which on the one hand make the materials more expensive and on the other hand make the same difficult. By using very smooth posts or rods which are equipped at their upper ends with grooves or forks or holes of a certain shape, or both with grooves etc. and with holes at the same time, one can manufacture such materials cheaply and factory-made, whereby they are of the farmers to buy or for general use and can assure the user greater security against 3 ^ unfavorable weather and a lighter harvest work. The cords or ropes can consist of wire, preferably galvanized wire, and have the smallest possible thickness, or they can be made of vegetable fibers of the usual type.
The accompanying drawing illustrates some examples of such posts and the manner in which they are attached should.
Ι shows in the top view cords 1, form the rhombuses' and are supported by posts 2, which at the intersection of the Cords are tucked into the ground. It it is not necessary that there be a post at each intersection of the cords, what however, depends on the size of the diamonds. The experience you get from using it the arrangement in question wins, a line can be used when attaching the Form posts. 2 and 3 show a post 2 seen from two sides. Of the The post is pointed at its lower end and two at its upper end intersecting cutouts 3 bleak forks
These cutouts or grooves 3 can be of different depths so that the cords each other when they are pulled out of the field, if the harvest is to take place, do not hinder it. Figures 4 and 5 show two different ones Sides a somewhat modified shape, which consists in that the cutout or the fork 3 ends in a borehole 4. The width of the connecting the cutout 3 with the hole 4 Opening is larger than the diameter of the cord 1 to allow the cord to be pulled out do not get stuck in the longitudinal direction in said opening and the post to be moved and dragged to the edge of the field.
The posts described above are suitable for fields that are flat or convex, and where the cords are thus not inclined to lift out of the grooves. To stand out from the one To make circumstances independent, where the cord at a concave field from for any reason, e.g. B. if they are attached to the edge of the field one Is subjected to stretching, can escape from the groove, is that in Figs. 6 and 7, 8 and 9, 10 and 11 is made the arrangement shown been. The illustrated in Figs. 6 and 7 in the side view and in the top view The arrangement differs from the arrangement according to FIGS. 4 and 5 in that that the cutouts or forks 3 have an inclined position with respect to the holes 4, so that the cord is prevented from exiting the hole upwards. One at the top of the Post attached hook, the shape of which corresponds to that of the cutout and the hole matches, the arrangement according to FIGS. 6 and 7 can replace.
Gemäß.der in Fig. 8 und 9 in der Seitenansicht und in der Oberansicht veranschaulichten Anordnung sind im Pfosten zwei querlaufende Löcher 4 für jeden Ausschnitt, oder Gabel 3 vorgesehen, die schräg zu den Löchern gestellt ist. Die Löcher 4, 4 übergreifen einander derart, daß eine enge öffnung 6 zwischen ihnen vorhanden ist, durch welche die Schnur 1 hindurchgehen kann. Die Anordnung gemäß Fig. 8 und 9 wirkt in derselben Weise wie diejenige gemäß Fig. 6 und 7. Die Erhöhungen 7 zwischen den Löchern 4 hindern die Schnur !gewissermaßen, von dem Loch, worin sie angebracht worden ist, in das andere" Loch einzugehen, und tragen somit bei, die Schnur zu hindern, die kombinierte öffnung 4-4 aufwärts zu verlassen.;According to the illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9 in the side view and in the top view Arrangement are two transverse holes 4 for each cutout, or in the post Fork 3 is provided, which is placed at an angle to the holes. The holes 4, 4 overlap one another such that a narrow opening 6 is present between them through which the Cord 1 can go through. The arrangement according to FIGS. 8 and 9 acts in the same way as that according to FIGS. 6 and 7. The elevations 7 between the holes 4 prevent the Cord! As it were, from the hole in which it was made into the other "hole enter, thus helping to keep the cord from passing up the combined opening 4-4 to leave.;
Die Gestalt des Loches 4 kann offenbar verschieden sein, wenn nur das Loch mit einem elastischen Eintrittsteil der beschriebenen Art versehen ist.10 and 11 are under the groove or fork drilled through the post through three overlapping holes 4, the are arranged at the corners of a triangle, one point of which is turned downwards. Said holes are arranged in such a way that between the two upper holes a themselves. downwardly extending narrow neck 5 is formed, through which the cutout or the fork 3 passes through and forms a gap which is narrower than the cord 1 or possibly ends in a longitudinal crack in the wood. The post can be with holes be equipped of the type described above, which extend from both sides of the same, or it can, according to FIGS. 10 and 11, only one set of holes and one cutout or have a fork of the kind described which is so deep that it is under the ground of the lowest hole located at the corners of said triangle. By said arrangement is made in the post through the fork 3 and the cutout of the approach 5 inserted cord held in place and when they are pulled out in the Prevented longitudinal direction from getting stuck because the elasticity of the wood in the approach 5 allows the cord to be passed down into the hole, but prevents it from passing the hole leaving up or getting stuck. For the manufacture of the posts according to Fig. 10 and ii must be a suitable wood, e.g. B. fir or alder, are used so that the fibers of the approach 5 run in the longitudinal direction of the same. If any of the Cord is placed in the fork 3 before the other cord is attached to the hole 4, this holds the cord placed in the fork 3 in its position. The shape of the hole 4 can apparently different if only the hole with an elastic entry part of the one described Kind is provided.
Falls der Abstand zwischen den 'Reihen der Pfosten mit: der Breite der Schneidvorrichtung der Getreide-When attaching the net over the field, the cords are laid out on the same and the posts are inserted into the ground at suitable intersection points. Then the Cords are placed in the cutouts or holes of the posts and the ends of the cords attached to suitable posts on either side of the field or the section covered by the netting. The posts can expediently have such a height that the The net is about 0.5 to 1 m above the ground. For crops other than corn seeds will be other suitable dimensions chosen. There is no need to enter the field when harvesting, to remove the cords from it, for the cords can pass through the posts are pulled outward to the sides of the field. If the distance between the 'rows of posts with: the Width of the cutting device of the grain
