Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verpackung für Messer, welche die Schneide schützend umfaßt, und den Griff aber zum Anfassen frei läßt.The invention relates to a packaging for knives which encloses the cutting edge in a protective manner, but leaves the handle free for touching.
Derartige Verpackungen sind bekannt. So werden Messer zum Schutz vor Verletzungen in länglichen Hüllen angeboten, wobei diese Hüllen die Schneide abdecken und am Griff mit einer Druckknopf-Lasche befestigt sind. Dabei ist zumindest eine Seite der Hülle durchsichtig, um das Messer auch mit seiner Schneide erkennbar zu machen, während der Griff frei bleibt, um ein versuchsweises Hantieren zu ermöglichen. Auch Varianten solcher Verpackungen sind bekannt, die jedoch alle recht aufwendig und nur mit beträchtlichem Arbeitsaufwand anbringbar sind. Auch das zu entsorgende Material stößt zunehmend auf Kritik.Such packaging is well known. Aus DE 44 32 355 A1 ist eine Verpackung für Messer und dergleichen bekannt, welche die Schneide schützend umfaßt und den Griff zum Anfassen frei läßt, wobei zwei selbstklebend ausgerüstete Folien, die beidseits auf die Schneide und diese überlappend aufklebbar sind, wobei die überlappenden Bereiche der Folien mit ihren selbstklebend ausgerüsteten Seiten aufeinander kleben, und wobei die Enden der Folien einen nichtklebenden Anfasser zum Aufreißen der Verpackung aufweisen, und wobei der Kleber auf den selbstklebend ausgerüsteten Folien ein rückstandsfreies Abziehen von der Schneide erlaubt. Trotz unbestrittener Vorteile dieser Verpackung hat sie aber auch Nachteile, die sich in der Praxis bemerkbar machen, insbesondere hinsichtlich aufwendigem maschinellem Herstellen der Verpackung und optischem Erscheinungsbild mit Lufteinschlüssen und Qualitätseindruck. Aufgabe der Erfindung war es, eine Verpackung dieser Art derart weiterzuentwickeln, daß diese ohne großen Maschinenaufwand herzustellen ist und zugleich ein besseres optisches Erscheinungsbild ergibt.The aim of the invention was to further develop a packaging of this type in such a way that it can be produced without great mechanical effort and at the same time has a better visual appearance.

Die eingesetzten Folien sind vorzugsweise PP-Folien, für die hintere Folie in Stärken von etwa 40 &mgr;&pgr;\ bis 160 &mgr;&pgr;\, wobei insbesondere für die hintere Folie eine eingefärbte, bedruckbare PP-Folie geeignet ist, während die vordere Folie insbesondere eine bedruckbare klarsichtige PP-Folie ist in Stärken von etwa 120 - 250 &mgr;&eegr;&igr;, insbesondere 180 - 220 &mgr;&eegr;&tgr;&igr;. Solche Kleber sind bekannt, etwa aus DE 2.523.617 A1, DE 3.208.217 A1, EP 213.860 A1, US 4.599.265 und EP 121.430 A1, sowie für im Siebdruck etc. aufzutragende Kleber DE 3.346.100 Al Dabei ergibt sich nicht nur ein rückstandsfreies Abziehen etwa von der Schneide eines Messers, sondern auch ein Abziehen der untereinander verklebten Folienbereiche, ohne unangemessen große Kräfte aufwenden zu müssen. Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Ausgestaltung mit lediglich einer selbstklebend ausgerüsteten Folie auf der Rückseite (als hintere Folie) ergibt sich der weitere Vorteil, daß die Verpackung auch von schwachen Händen leicht geöffnet werden kann, ggf. auch wieder verschlossen werden kann, und daß auch das Messer besonders leicht entnommen werden kann. Ggf. kann auch die selbstklebend ausgerüstete hintere Folie im Bereich der Schneide nichtklebend ausgerüstet sein, z.B. durch nur partiellen Kleber-Aufdruck oder durch anti-adhäsiven Aufdruck von entsprechendem Lack in diesem Bereich. Der besondere Vorteil aber ergibt sich für das optische Erscheinungsbild des Messers, indem erfindungsgemäß keine Lufteinschlüsse zwischen Schneide und vorderer Folie entstehen können, wie dies bei Verpackungen insbesondere gemäß DE 44 32 355 der Fall ist. Auf diese Weise ergibt sich eine beträchtlich ansprechendere Verpackung, die höherwertig aussieht, das Messer besser präsentiert, zugleich auch für den Verbraucher sicherer aufgrund der eingesetzten vorderen Folie.The rear film is equipped with an adhesive that allows residue-free removal from the knife edge, but still ensures a good hold. Im einzelnen zeigt Figur 1 eine mit einem Kleber gemäß Beispiel 1 der DE 3.346.100 A1 ausgerüstete hintere PP-Foiie von 80 &mgr;&eegr;&igr; Dicke, weiß eingefärbt und diese klebt die Schneide 2 des dargestellten Messers von hinten ab.
