Am geeignetesten ist wohl der Gitterträger. Ein Gitterträger besteht z. B. aus einem Ober- und einem Untergurt und zwei Vierkantrohren. Diese sind über senkrechte Profile miteinander verbunden. Die Eckverbinder haben Rohrstutzen, die in die Ober- und Untergurte hineinragen. So können über kleine Eckverbinder die festen Teile zusammengesteckt und über eine geeignete Verbindung (Schrauben, Nieten, Schweißen) miteinander verbunden werden.
