'Fußbodenelement, insbesondere Laminatpaneel oder -kassette aus einer Holzwerkstoffplatte" 'Floor element, in particular laminate panel or cassette made of a wood-based panel"
The invention relates to a floor element, in particular a laminate panel or cassette made of a wood-based panel, in particular made of a highly compressed HDF fiber material, an upper decorative/wear layer and a lower counter-coating and with a tongue-and-groove profile in the side area.
Die Holzwerkstoffplatten werden zwar bereits werkseitig mit Zugaben versehen, die eine Wasseraufnahme weitgehend reduzieren, gleichwohl sind bei einem Einsatz derartiger Fußbodenelemente kleinste Aufquellungen im Bereich von 1/10 mm bereits deutlich zu erkennen undFloor elements of this type are offered in panel or cassette form and are provided with a tongue and groove profile on the sides so that they can be joined together to form a uniform surface or floor covering. Laminate floors are characterized by their high level of resistance and a wide variety of decors. The floor elements have a decorative and wear layer on their surface, usually consisting of several layers, which is waterproof. The wood-based panel underneath, in particular made of a highly compressed HDF fiber material, although medium-density fiberboard or chipboard supports are also used, is sensitive to moisture. The wood-based panels are already provided with additives at the factory that largely reduce water absorption, but when using such floor elements, even the smallest swelling in the range of 1/10 mm can be clearly seen and
ergeben Kanten. Until now, it has been common practice to glue the individual floor elements together in the area of the tongue and groove profile using a partially waterproof glue. This partially waterproof glue is intended to prevent moisture from penetrating the laminate floor, which would result in the floor swelling at the joint areas, as described above.
Bedingt durch das möglichstA disadvantage of the floor elements known to date and their processing and installation is that the glue used for bonding must be applied to all tongue and groove profile areas of the floor elements without gaps. This requires a very precise working method. When the individual floor elements are pressed together, the excess glue is squeezed out upwards, which carries the risk of unsightly stains appearing on the top of the laminate floor. The excess glue that has been squeezed out must be completely and quickly removed. Despite all the care and the most precise working method, it cannot be ruled out that unprotected areas without complete bonding remain in the joint area between two floor elements, which cannot be detected with the naked eye after the floor elements have been put together and cannot be subsequently sealed. As soon as moisture penetrates these areas, there is a risk that the laminate floor will swell and become unusable. Due to the fact that the floor elements are as smooth as possible, the glue must be removed quickly and cleanly.
Furthermore, if all tongue and groove areas are glued together without gaps, a floor element that has been laid cannot be removed and used for other purposes.
The object of the invention is therefore to create a solution that reliably prevents the penetration of moisture into the generic floor elements.
Darüber hinaus kann in erheblichem Umfang Leim eingespart werden, ggf. können die Fußbodenelemente auch wieder aufgenommen undThis object is achieved according to the invention with a floor element of the type described at the beginning in that, in particular in the area of the tongue and groove profile, a protective layer is provided as a moisture barrier and/or as a moisture-impregnating layer. This has the advantage that the floor element can be protected against moisture at the factory, which significantly increases the safety of laying and using such laminate floors. When laying the floor elements, it is no longer necessary to pay meticulous attention to ensuring that they are completely covered with glue in the area of the tongue and groove profile and glued together. Accordingly, glue no longer oozes out onto the surface across the entire joint area of the floor elements. The risk of stains forming on the decorative/wear layer of the floor is thus avoided or reduced to the area of a few glue points. In addition, glue can be saved to a considerable extent, and if necessary the floor elements can also be removed and
anderweitig verwendet werden.be used for other purposes.
By applying a moisture barrier and/or a moisture-proofing layer, the moisture absorption of the entire wood-based panel and the floor element formed from it is reduced. A laminate floor formed from such floor elements moves less and, in contrast to previous methods, can also be glued over the entire surface. In this case, there is no need to glue the floor elements in the tongue and groove area at specific points.
Preferably, the protective layer consists of monomeric polyester or epoxy acrylates, urethane acrylate resins and/or polyurethane prepolymers based on aliphatic and/or aromatic ifocyamates.
In a further advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the protective layer consists of oligomeric polyester and/or epoxy acrylates, urethane acrylate resins and/or polyurethane prepolymers based on aliphatic and/or aromatic ifocyamates.
Such substances penetrate well into the wood-based panel on the one hand and form a dense film of moisture on the surface on the other.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the protective layer is made of a material suitable for bonding the floor element with a reactive adhesive. Such a reactive adhesive can be applied in such a way that it no longer oozes out at the top, but only creates a connection in the tongue and groove area. This means that the decorative/wear layer, and thus the top of the floor element, can no longer become contaminated. In addition, glue no longer needs to be used. Due to the impregnation of the floor elements in the area of the tongue and groove profiling, a normal glue can only harden with difficulty, since the moisture from the glue can no longer escape into the wood-based panel.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the protective layer is only provided on the top side and on the upper vertical abutting edge of the tongue profile and on the upper lower edge and/or the upper vertical abutting edge of the groove profile. This has the advantage that normal white glue can still be used to glue the floor elements, since the adhesive connection is only made in the lower area without the risk of surface contamination, which is sufficient for a functional adhesive connection. At the same time, however, the upper tongue/groove area is reliably protected against moisture penetration by the protective layer.
• *··♦ · · ♦ · &igr;•*··♦ · · ♦ · &igr;
In the lower, unprotected area, the moisture from the glue can continue to escape into the wood-based panel, so that the glue sets well.
The invention also provides that the protective layer can be diluted with solvents such as water, alcohols, esters or ketones or other organic solvents and that the viscosity can be adjusted to a value between 50 and 6,000 mPas. The solvents facilitate the penetration of the protective layer into the wood material surface or its wetting. The layers applied in this way can then be cured by heat, UV radiation or high frequency. The viscosity of the applied materials should be between 50 and 6,000 mPas, preferably between 1,000 and 3,000 mPas.
Fede3r-Profil angepaßt und zudem mit einer solchen Distanz zu dem Werkstück justiert werden, daß es zu einem sehr geringen Rückprall kommt und daß dasFinally, the invention also provides that the protective layer applied in the area of the tongue at the factory is applied by application rollers and the layer applied in the area of the groove is applied by spray nozzles and/or application rollers. This has the advantage that there is no spray mist on the laminate surface and that impurities or impregnation materials do not settle there. The spray nozzles, like the application rollers, can be adapted in their geometry to the tongue or groove profile and can also be adjusted at such a distance from the workpiece that there is very little rebound and that the
Material gleichzeitig verschleppt wird.material is carried away at the same time.
The impregnating agents can be stored in a heatable collecting tray, into which a screen roller with a specified screen size and cup depth engages. A foam rubber roller with defined pore sizes and hardness rotates directly on the screen roller. The impregnating agent is transferred from the screen roller to the foam rubber roller by adhesion and pressure and can be transferred from there to the corresponding areas of the floor element with light pressure. This allows the impregnating agent to take effect on the wood-based panel.
The invention further proposes that the protective layer consists of cross-linked and non-cross-linked silicones.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the protective layer is made of an amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane (DimetiOn). This silicone, also called dimethylpolysiloxane, has high water-repellent properties.
Derartige Wachse eignen sich besonders zur Imprägnierung von Holzfaserplatten, sie gehen bereits bei relativ geringen Verarbeitungstemperaturen in den schmelzflüssigen, niedrig-Finally, the invention also provides that the protective layer consists of natural or synthetic waxes on an aliphatic and/or aromatic basis. Such waxes are particularly suitable for impregnating wood fiber boards, they turn into the molten, low-
viskosen Zustand über und ziehen keine Fäden.viscous state and do not leave any threads.
