Die Erfindung betrifft einen Polsterkörper aus mehrlagigem Wellenmaterial wie Wellpappe oder dergleichen Material mit wenigstens einer am Körperumfang angebrachten, zur Verbindung mit einem Umkarton und/oder zu verpackendem Gut selbstklebenden Klebestelle. Derartiges Polstermaterial wird üblicherweise eingesetzt, um Verpackungsgut in ümkartons geschützt und positionsgenau unterzubringen. Die Aufgabe wird in Verbindung mit den Merkmalen des Polsterkörpers der eingangs genannten Art dadurch gelöst, daß die Klebestelle durch einen offen bleibenden, stoffschlüssig mit dem Polsterkörper verbundenen Klebstoff gebildet ist. Dieser sogenannte offene Klebstoff, der vorteilhaft an der äußeren Decklage des Polsterkörpers aufgebracht ist, geht mit dem Körpermaterial eine innige homogene Verbindung ein. Andererseits ist der Polsterkörper mittels seiner zur Klebung freien Klebstofffläche bequem und positionsgenau an die Wand eines Verpackungskartons, an die Oberfläche eines weiteren Verpackungskörpers und/oder an das Verpackungsgut selbst ansetzbar. Infolge der Beschaffenheit des erfindungsgemä/3 vorgesehenen Klebstoffs läßt sich der Polsterkörper rückstandsfrei und ohne Beschädigung des Packguts von diesem abnehmen. Herstellungstechnisch läßt sich die in den Polsterkörper integrierte vorgefertigte Klebestelle mit hoher Fertigungsgeschwindigkeit und genauer Positionierung sparsam, in der Stärke dünn und geringflächig, aber - falls gewünscht - auch mit relativ großer Stärke aufbringen.
