Die Markierungsträgervorrichtung nach der Neuerung ist in Form eines am Gepäckstück befestigbaren Riemens, Bandes, Streifens oder dergl. ausgebildet und wird entweder vollständig um das Gepäckstück herumgeschlungen oder als Teilstück auf einer Breitseite des Koffers festgelegt, z.B. vernäht, verklebt oder dergl. Wird der Riemen um den Koffer herumgelegt, ist er beispielsweise in Form eines Gürtels mit einer Schnalle und Löchern zur Aufnahme des Schnallenzapfens ausgebildet, oder aber die beiden entgegengesetzten Enden des Riemens oder dergl. werden jeweils mit einem Ende einer Halbschale des Koffers festgelegt, z.B. festgeklemmt, so daß in geschlossenem Zustand der Halbschalen die beiden entgegengesetzten freien Enden des Riemens innerhalb des Koffers liegen und damit der Riemen nur durch Öffnen des Koffers entfernt werden kann. Bei einer Ausgestaltung der Markierungsträgervorrichtung als Riemen mit einstellbarem Schnallenverschluß kann innerhalb gewisser Größen ein und dieselbe Riemenlänge für Gepäckstücke unterschiedlichen Umfangs bzw. unterschiedlicher Größe verwendet werden, so daß insgesamt für größere und kleinere entsprechende Gepäckstücke mehrere verschieden lange Riemengrößen für unterschiedlich große Gepäckstücke ausreichen. Wird der Riemen mit den einander gegenüberstehenden Rändern der Kofferhalbschalen eingeklemmt festgelegt, ist es erforderlich, die Riemenlänge entsprechend dem Kofferumfang zu wählen, wobei zur Einstellung auf verschiedene Umfangslängen der Riemen verstellbar ausgebildet sein kann. Die diese Aufkleber aufnehmenden Stellen des Riemenabschnittes sind in der Regel die Außenseite des plan ausgebildeten Riemens, die Stellen können jedoch auch leicht erhaben oder leicht vertieft gegenüber der übrigen Riemenfläche ausgebildet sein. Im Falle einer vertieften Ausbildung dieser Stelle ist der Aufkleber gegen eine Beschädigung durch Reibbewegungen benachbarter Gepäckstücke besonders gut geschützt. Ein aus zwei schalenförmigen Hälften bestehender Koffer 1 weist auf einer Breitseite 2 im Bereich des Handgriffes 3 eine Markierungsträgervorrichtung 4 in Form eines um den Koffer 1 geschlungenen Riemens auf, dessen der Vorderseite 2 des Koffers 1 zugeordneter Abschnitt 5 einen Abschnitt 6 verringerter Breite, der durch den Traggriff 3 geführt äst, und eine Schnallenverbindung mit Verstellöchern 7 besitzt, auf.
