The innovation relates to a hinged lid or a rocker of an electrical installation device according to the generic term of protection claim 1.

Labeling panels for electrical installation devices have been known for years and are manufactured in a variety of designs for different devices. The disadvantage of most labeling panels is that their transparent windows have to be attached to the corresponding top parts of the device from the outside. This creates gaps through which splash water can penetrate into the device. The labeling element, which is usually inserted into a recess under the window, cannot always be replaced without the help of a tool.

The aim of this innovation is therefore to create a labeling field on a hinged lid, a rocker or another protective or actuating element of an electrical installation device, which, in addition to accommodating a labeling element, also protects the device from splashing water due to its high level of tightness. At the same time, it should be taken into account that the labeling field is easy to install and that the labeling element can be easily replaced without the use of tools.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the labeling field according to the present innovation are specified in the dependent claims.

In Fig. 1, the installation device is shown as an example of a safety socket 3, whose plug inlet is closed by a hinged cover 1. The hinged cover 1 is made from two materials in one piece. In the middle area, the window 7 for the label field 6 is designed as a crystal-clear, transparent or colored part, while above and below this window 7 the parts of the hinged cover 1 are made of opaque insulating material. The fact that the hinged cover is made from one piece ensures that the socket enjoys the greatest possible protection against splash water, dust and dirt. In the area of the window 7, there is a flap 5 on its underside, i.e. towards the inside of the device. From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the flap 5 is movably mounted on the long sides by means of round bearing pins 8. On the opposite side of the bearing pins 8, the flap 5 is provided with a flap 14. Underneath this flap 14 there is a handle 10, with which the flap 5 can be set to the open or closed position. In the closed position, the flap 14 locks behind a locking lug 9 on the underside of the hinged lid 1.

For the exact positioning of a label element 6, the flap has ribs 11 on its long sides, between which the label element is fixed. To make it easy to remove from this position, the flap has semi-circular grip recesses 12 on its transverse sides, so that an additional tool is not required. In addition, the flap 5 also has the profile rib 13 in the area of the bearing parts 8.

This profile rib provides a defined opening angle for the opened flap, which is just large enough to easily insert the label element 6 between the ribs 11 and yet is sufficient in the open position to secure the label element 6 against accidental falling out.

This innovative folding labeling field results in a number of advantages, such as easy opening and closing of the labeling field and no loss of loose covers. The recessed grips make replacing labeling elements much easier. The high level of tightness of the window, already mentioned at the beginning, is due to its integral construction with the hinged lid. Furthermore, the guide ribs 11 enable the labeling element 6 to be inserted precisely and the fixing of the opening angle of the flap prevents it from falling out. In Fig. 3, the installation device is shown as a switch 3 by way of example, with the upper part of the switch being designed as a rocker 2. To illustrate the innovative folding labeling field 6, the rocker 2 has been removed from its bearings. As can be seen from Fig. 3 and 4, here too the window 7 is made in one piece with the rocker 2, which results in the previously mentioned advantages in terms of tightness against splash water.

Furthermore, the relevant features according to the innovation with regard to the labeling field and its arrangement below the rocker 2 are identical to their corresponding design on the socket below the hinged cover 1 according to drawing figures 1 and 2.
