Das Etikett 40 besteht entweder aus einer Kunststoffolie, einer Metallfolie, Glas oder Keramik oder jedem anderen technischen Material, welches die erfindungsgemäße Eigenschaft des Etiketts fördert, oder aus einer Kombination dieser Materialien. Deshalb ist bei der Wahl des Materials für das Etikett darauf zu achten, daß es in der Handhabung und beim Aufbringen bzw. Anbringen auf der CD ausreichend stabil ist. Darüber hinaus muß das Material zumindest während der üblichen Lebensdauer der CD 10 alterungs-, licht- und witterungsbeständig sein. Ferner ist darauf zu achten, daß das Etikettenmaterial zumindest in den Temperaturbereichen beständig ist, in denen auch der Datenträger keinen Schaden nimmt. Auch darf das Etikettenmaterial keinen Schaden nehmen durch den Einfluß von Licht, und zwar auch im UV- und Infrarot-Spektralbereich. Außerdem soll sich das Etikettenmaterial im Regelfall neutral im gesamten Spektralbereich verhalten. Bei der Beschriftung des Etiketts ist es auch denkbar, die Information in Blindenschrift einzuprägen, damit sich auch sehbehinderte Menschen selbständig und ohne fremde Hilfe eine gewünschte CD aussuchen können. Verfahrensweisen und Herstellungsprozesse von beschrifteten Etiketten sind allgemein bekannt und werden daher nicht näher beschrieben. So können die Schriftzüge z.B. eingeprägt, gestanzt oder in jeder möglichen Drucktechnik gedruckt sein. Auch das Einbrennen mittels eines Lasers oder ein Einätzen ist denkbar, solange nur erreicht wird, daß die Beschriftung dauerhaft in dem Etikett erhalten bleibt. Darüber hinaus können selbstverständlich beliebige Kundenwünsche zur Beschriftung des Etiketts berücksichtigt werden. Wie bereits oben erwähnt, dient die Beschriftung des Etiketts insbesondere dazu, die Eigentumszugehorigkeit dauerhaft bereitzustellen. Als weitere Sicherheitskennzeichnung können in die Schichten des Etiketts 10 auch Hologramme {wie z.B. bei der EC-Karte) sowie spezielle Kennzeichnungen eingebracht werden, die nur unter besonderen Lichtquellen, wie z.B. Laserlicht oder UV-Licht, zu sehen sind. Darüber hinaus sollte der Klebstoff farblos und lichtneutral sein, insbesondere wenn Sicherheitskennzeichen in die Schichten des Etiketts 40 eingearbeitet sind oder das Etikett an seiner Bildseite mit dem Datenträger verklebt wird. Außerdem soll sich der Klebstoff im Regelfall neutral im gesamten Spektralbereich verhalten. Es ist aber auch denkbar, das Etikett 40 auf der die Daten speichernden Seite der Compact Disc 10 anzubringen. Dann dient der innere Ringbereich 20 der CD 10 selbst als Schutzschicht für das mit Kennzeichen versehene Etikett 40. Damit das Etikett 40 in diesem Fall auch von der Labelseite her durch den transparenten inneren Ringbereich 2 0 lesbar ist, ist es notwendig, daß der Kleber transparent ist. Um das Anbringen des Etiketts 40 an dem inneren Ringbereich 2 0 des Datenträgers 10 zu erleichtern, können sogenannte Paßmarken für ein blindes Anbringen an dem Etikett vorgesehen sein. Ferner können Führungs- oder Paßrillen oder -bahnen in das Etikettmaterial eingebracht sein, um ein präzises Einpassen in den komplementär dazu ausgebildeten inneren Ringbereich 20 der Compact Disc 10 zu ermöglichen.It makes sense to coat the label 40 on its back with adhesive and to stick it onto the data carrier 10 on the predetermined ring area 20.
