Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an RFID label, in particular for a Removable data disk, such as a CD-ROM or DVD, with a carrier layer on its an RFID transponder with a chip and an antenna is applied to the first surface and on its second surface, facing away from the first surface, an adhesive layer is formed, as well as a removable data plate with a label.
It is known to provide CD-ROMs with a transponder. This is so that software that is stored on the corresponding CD-ROM is not reproduced can be used since it can only be used in connection with the transponder. The transponders, which consist of a chip and an antenna, are on one mentioned soft label applied from paper. On the surface of the soft label that the Transponder is arranged opposite, an adhesive layer is formed by means of the soft label including transponder is stuck onto the CD-ROM. Such a soft label can be easily removed from the CD-ROM. That’s it possible to stick the transponder on a copied CD-ROM. this leads to enormous financial losses of the CD-ROM manufacturer, since he has fewer CD-ROMs of the corresponding software. Another problem is that the Transponder, which has a very fine antenna, various mechanical influences is exposed. These influences can lead to the transponder being damaged or is destroyed and the software is then no longer available to the user Available.
The object of the invention is therefore to ensure that a single RFID Transponder can only be connected to a single object and the Transponder is well protected against damage at the same time.
The task is performed by an RFID label with the features of claim 1 and solved by a removable data plate with the features of claim 8. RFa stands for radio frequency identification in this application. By using a Cover layer over the RFID transponder, which is thereby between the carrier layer and Cover layer is included, this is very good against mechanical influences protected. For example, when using an object on which the RFID Label is applied to the RFID transponder by accidentally touching it not be damaged with a fingernail. If the RFID label is on a Removable data plate is applied is during insertion of the removable data plate no damage to the RFID transponder, especially the very sensitive ones Antenna, possible. Detachment of the RFID transponder from the object on which it has not been glued on, as removing the cover layer of the RFID Transponder is destroyed. The very fine turns of the antenna hold one mechanical stress does not stand. This also applies if the RFID label is on a credit or payment card is applied.
It is advantageous if the carrier layer made of paper or another tearable Material is. This causes the carrier layer to tear when attempting this Removing the RFID label from the object, resulting in the safe destruction of the RFID transponders leads. This means, for example, that unauthorized use is prohibited duplicated software excluded because the RFID transponder is no longer available Available. A fleece, for example, can be used as the tearable material.
It is also advantageous if the cover layer is a plastic film. A Plastic film not only provides the RFID transponder with very good protection against mechanical destruction, but also against liquids, such as Acids. These are kept from the plastic film. Furthermore, a Plastic film prevents solvents from penetrating the carrier layer. If the carrier layer is not soaked with solvent, the solvent can also do not penetrate to the adhesive layer. That is, the adhesive layer between the Carrier layer and the object to which it is glued, can not be resolved can.
It is particularly advantageous if the adhesive layer is a thermoset, an ultrasound adhesive or is some other permanent glue. In the case of a thermoset, the Neither do RFID tags of the object, for example a removable data plate possible by heating. The same applies to an ultrasound adhesive or one other permanent adhesive, for example after curing insensitive to heat and resistant to solvents. This ensures that the RFID label will no longer be on the item after it has been applied can be removed.
It is also advantageous if the RFID label is designed as a circular disk. In order to it is possible to put the RFID label around a center hole in a CD-ROM or DVD to arrange. The antenna is particularly preferably in several turns in the Arranged essentially concentrically on the circular disc around the centering hole. Due to the concentric arrangement, an RFID label can be attached aesthetically very appealing impression. For example, the For this purpose, the covering layer may also be provided with a hologram. The same applies of course even if the RFID label is semicircular. The run Windings of the antenna are serpentine.
It is particularly advantageous if an RFID transponder is used which is in the High frequency range works. This makes it possible for the RFID transponder to use particularly small dimensions. The RFID label can then be so small be designed so that it is within a stacking ring, which in CD-ROM's and DVD's has a diameter of 35 mm, can be glued on. It is therefore not necessary any objects on the mostly printed surface of a CD-ROM or DVD to stick.
Weitere Einzelheiten der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Further details of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
Es zeigen:The invention is illustrated below with the aid of that shown in the drawings Embodiment explained in more detail. Show it:
Fig. 1 Eine Draufsicht auf eine erfindungsgemäße CD-ROM in Form einer Visitenkarte und Fig. 1 is a plan view of an inventive CD-ROM in the form of a business card and
FIG. 2 shows a part of a schematic section through the business card along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
The invention is explained in more detail using a CD-ROM as a removable data plate 2 in the form of a rectangular business card. However, the following explanations apply equally to normal circular or any other contour CD-ROMs and DVDs. The same and equivalent parts are identified by the same reference numerals.
In Fig. 1 is a plan view of a CD-ROM 2 is shown in business card format. The CD-ROM 2 has an opening 10 in its center. A stacking ring 11 is formed around this opening 10 . In this area, the CD-ROM 2 is not recorded with information. On the stacking ring 11, an inventive, circular RFID label 1 is adhered concentrically to the center hole 10 around. The RFID label 1 has a carrier layer 3 made of paper. This carrier layer 3 is glued to the CD-ROM 2 by means of an adhesive layer 8 (see FIG. 2). An RFID transponder 4 is applied to the first surface 7 of the carrier layer 3 facing away from the adhesive layer 8 . The RFID transponder 4 has an RFID chip 5 and an antenna 6 connected to it. The antenna 6 consists of a large number of very fine turns of a wire or of etched or printed antenna tracks which are arranged concentrically around the centering hole 10 . It is therefore not necessary to bend the fine wire of the antenna 6 , but it can be applied to the carrier layer 3 with a relatively large radius. This serves to ensure that it is exposed to the lowest possible mechanical loads. A cover layer 9 is arranged above the RFID transponder 4 , which encloses the RFID transponder 4 between itself and the carrier layer 3 . The cover layer 9 is designed as a plastic film and glued to the RFID transponder 4 and the carrier layer 3 . The use of a plastic film as the cover layer 9 ensures very good protection both against mechanical influences on the RFID transponder 4 and against liquids, for example acids. The RFID transponder 4 can therefore not be damaged or destroyed under normal circumstances. In FIG. 1 the cover layer 9 is not shown over the full circumference of the circular disc so that the located between it and the carrier layer 3 RFID transponder 4 is partially visible. In reality, of course, the covering layer 9 covers the entire carrier layer 3 and thus also the RFID transponder 4 arranged on it.
The section through the CD-ROM 2 shown in FIG. 2 clearly shows the layer structure of the RFID label 1 and its arrangement within the stacking ring 11 . The entire illustration in FIG. 2 is only to be understood schematically and is not reproduced to scale. Only part of the entire CD-ROM 2 is shown, in the area between the stacking ring 11 and the centering hole 10 . To avoid repetitions, only the features not yet described in FIG. 1 are dealt with. The stacking ring 11 is formed on the recorded surface 13 of the CD-ROM 2 , on which the RFID label 1 is also stuck, as a circular bead. The RFID label 1 is arranged in the stacking ring 11 in such a way that there is a free space 12 between the centering hole 10 and the inner edge 14 of the RFID label 1 , so that a drive pin of a playback device (not shown) engages in the centering hole 10 does not come into contact with the RFID label 1 and therefore cannot be damaged.
FIG. 2 also shows the adhesive layer 8 which bonds the carrier layer 3 to the removable data plate 2 . Detaching the RFID label 1 from the CD-ROM 2 is not possible since the adhesive used as the adhesive layer 8 is a thermoset. Once the thermoset has hardened, it cannot be removed again by heating. By using a plastic film as the cover layer 9 , it is also not possible for a solvent to penetrate into the paper carrier layer 3 and thus dissolve the adhesive layer 8 . It is also not possible to detach the cover layer 9 from the carrier layer 3 , since they are glued to one another and the paper carrier layer 3 and the RFID transponder 4 enclosed between the cover layer 9 and the carrier layer 3 are destroyed, which is also intended is. The RFID label 1 can of course also be arranged on the blank surface 15 of the removable data plate 2 .
With an RFID label 1 described above, it is thus ensured that an RFID transponder 4, once connected to a removable data plate 2 , can no longer be detached from it without being destroyed. Thus it is not possible, a copied software that was originally loaded onto the provided with the RFID transponder 4 removable plate 2 to provide this RFID transponder. 4 The software can only be played with the original RFID transponder 4 required for this in a reader for RFID transponder 4 . This prevents the use of copied software. In addition, damage or destruction of the RFID transponder 4 during normal operation of the removable data plate 2 is practically excluded by using the cover layer 9 .
There are a number of other possible areas of application for the RFID label 1, except on a removable data plate 2 . For example, the RFID label 1 can be attached to a credit or payment card. Such a card can then always be clearly identified. It can also be used to secure data exchange in electronic media (secure EDI) and even achieve certification. It can also be used to control goods movements. Another area of application is the use as a ski pass, which you simply stick to the ski pole. The ski pass can then be recharged again and again, regardless of the ski area. For all the cases mentioned, an interaction with a reading or writing / reading device is always necessary, but this is not the subject of the invention and is therefore not explained in more detail here.
