Bekannte Schutzwände der hier interessierenden Art werden insbesondere im militärischen Bereich zum Schutz von Unterständen, Lagerplätzen, Zelten od. dgl. angewendet und modulartig aus vorgefertigten Platten vorgewählter Größe zusammengesetzt. Dabei werden die Platten hauptsächlich mittels Schrauben, die vorgefertigte Löcher in den Platten durchragen, und auf diese aufgedrehten Muttern miteinander verbunden. Da die Platten, um beschußsicher zu sein, aus Panzerstahl oder Keramik-Verbundmaterial bestehen, ist das Anbringen der Schraublöcher mit vergleichsweise großem Aufwand und entsprechenden Kosten verbunden. Außerdem können sich beim Zusammensetzen der Schutzwände Toleranzprobleme ergeben. Diese könnten zwar durch die Anbringung von Langlöchern grundsätzlich vermieden werden, doch müßten deren freibleibende Teile durch zusätzliche Abdeckplatten abgedeckt werden, wenn das Auftreten von ballistischen Löchern sicher vermieden werden soll. Dies ist vor allem aus der schematischen Fig. 3 ersichtlich, in der vier aneinandergrenzende Platten 2, zur Vereinfachung des Verständnisses aber nur drei vordere Klemmleisten 4 und zwei Distanzleisten 6 bzw. 7 dargestellt sind. Diese weisen die Außenecken umgreifende Eckprofile 35 und zur Anlage an den Innenecken bestimmte Eckleisten 36 auf, die sich beide z.B. über die gesamte Länge der an der Bildung der Ecke beteiligten Platten 2c und 2d erstrecken und vorzugsweise aus Panzerstahl bestehen. Dabei besitzen die Eckprofile 35 zwei senkrecht zueinander angeordnete Schenkel 35a und 35b, die sich an je einen Seitenrand einer zugehörigen Seitenplatte 2c bzw. 2d anlegen, und einen dazwischenliegenden, schräg angeordneten, mittleren Schenkel 35c, der einen Zwischenraum zwischen den beiden Platten 2c und 2d von außen her überdeckt. Dagegen stützt sich die Eckleiste 36, die diesen Zwischenraum von innen her abdeckt und parallel zum mittleren Abschnitt 35c angeordnet ist, mit ihren Seitenrändern an den Innenseiten der Platten 2c, 2d ab.
