Abstract

The duct for a ventilation system is intended for an engine, or passenger compartment, or any other application where air is supplied or extracted. It comprises a tubular duct (1) of any cross-section which is internally lined with sound-absorbent material (2) which is preferably resistant to elevated temperature. The duct is preferably produced in standard length sections, whilst the lining material has no detrimental effect on the environment, i.e. does not contain fibre glass, rock wool, asbestos fibre or the like. The sections may be produced in straight standard lengths and/or as curved or elbow pieces which latter may, at the same time, provide moisture separation.
