Das Grundgerät 1 einer Presse für Zitrusfrüchte u. dgl. (F i g. 1) besteht aus zwei miteinander verbundenen Gehäusehälften 2 und 3. In der Gehäusehälfte 2 ist eine MontageplaHe 4 angebracht auf der eine Antriebswelle 5 drehbar gelagert ist welche mit ihrem freien Ende, auf welches ein Preßkegel 6 unverdrehbar aufsteckbar ist, aus der Gehäusehälfte 2 herausragt. Auf dieses Grundgerät 1 ist vor dem Aufsetzen des Preßkegels 6 auf die Antriebswelle 5 ein Auffangbehälter 7 und auf diesen wieder ein Preßsieb 8 aufsetzbar, welche beide die Antriebswelle 5 umgreifen. Zum Antreiben der Antriebswelle 5 ist ein auf der Montageplatte 4 befestigter Motor 9 und ein Untersetzungsgetriebe 10 vorgesehen, welches aus den jeweils miteinander zusammenwirkenden Zahnrädern 11 und 12, sowie 13 und 14 besteht Das Zahnrad 11 ist hierbei auf der Motorwelle 15 und das Zahnrad 14 auf der Antriebswelle 5 angeordnet Die Zahnräder 12 und 13 sitzen auf einer Welle 16, die an der Montageplatte 4 angebracht ist. Die Zahnräder 11 und 13 weisen hierbei eine geringe Zähnezahl und einen kleinen Durchmesser und die Zahnräder 12 und 14 eine große Zähnezahl und einen großen Durchmesser auf, damit die relativ hohe Drehzahl der Motorwelle 15 auf eine für den Antrieb des Preßkegels 6 zweckmäßige geringe Drehzahl der Antriebbwelle 5 herabgesetzt wird.
