The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cleaning film strips.
There are two types of film cleaning methods. In one procedure a moving cleaning strip is used, generally a cotton or linen fabric strip that fits snugly against the to be cleaned film strip is pressed so that the surface of the film strip is wiped clean. The moving one '' The fabric strip is continuously moistened with a cleaning agent that dissolves well.
Another type of film cleaning process uses ultrasonic waves used. The film strip runs through a liquid bath and an ultrasound source has a cleaning effect generated on the film surface, according to the well-known principle of cleaning with ultrasound.
Either of these two known processes and, especially the Devices provided for this purpose are not optimal in terms of cleaning effect and, above all, in terms of costs.

It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a method and a device for cleaning film strips, on the one hand allows good cleaning and can still be carried out with very simple un cheap devices.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing Part of the main claim solved. Advantageous developments, in particular with regard to a particularly simple one and inexpensive device for cleaning film strips emerge from the subclaims and the following description.
Dadurch wird nicht nur dieAccording to the invention, film strips can be cleaned much better and with greater efficiency than is possible with the known measures. Even so, this can be achieved with a very cheap device. According to the invention, the previously customary cleaning bath for the film strips is no longer used - as is the case in connection with ultrasonic cleaning in previous devices, but according to the invention the wiping technique known per se is used in combination with the ultrasonic cleaning known per se of cleaning strips and this combination exerts a cavitation effect on the cleaning liquid with which the cleaning strips lying on the film surface are impregnated, to which the particularly good cleaning properties can be attributed. The cavitation causes the dirt particles to vibrate from the film surface and penetrate the fabric strips. In contrast to the wiping technique that has hitherto been used exclusively, the dirt particles are set in vibration and they therefore penetrate deeper into the fabric of the cleaning strips and not only stick to the surface of the cleaning strips as in the known wiping process. The surface of the cleaning strips is therefore also less quickly clogged with dirt particles. This not only does that

, "Cleaning effect increases but also the risk of damage of the film strip through the dirt particles, i.e. scratching them avoided. According to the invention, good Cleaning properties can also be achieved with a cleaning agent that is less dissolving. So it can be a detergent can be used, which is less volatile and evaporable without affecting the good cleaning properties. All of this is achieved without a complicated cleaning bath, as is normally provided with ultrasound machines is. , "
The invention is described below with reference to schematic drawings explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.

For dry cleaning, fabric strip coils 25a to 25d can be provided, which serve to remove dust particles from the film.
According to Fig. 2, the film 15 is moved between two bearings 28 and 29 and it leaves the two bearings at point 30. In operation, the film runs at a relatively high speed in the direction of arrow 31 between two cotton cleaning strips and 33, which one Apply wiping action to the top and bottom surfaces of the film. The fabric strip 32 is fed from a supply reel 34 and runs between the two bearings 28 and 29 in the direction of arrow 35. It is then wound onto a take-up reel J> 6.
Similarly, the cotton cleaning strip 33 is from a The supply reel 37 is guided against the lower surface of the film 15, while the latter is located between the bearings 28 and 29. This cotton strip runs in the direction of the arrow and is taken up by a take-up spool 39. The cotton strips 32 and 33 run at about the same speed as the filmstrip 15. However, the filmstrip 15 runs at opposite speeds Direction to the running direction 35 and 38 of the cotton strips.
Einzelheiten zeigen die Figuren 3 und 4.The device operates on a wet cleaning method using a highly dissolving film cleaning agent. Camps 28 and 29 are provided with ultrasonic transducers 40 and 41, respectively. Figures 3 and 4 show details.
According to FIG. 3, one bearing 29 is fastened to the housing 11 by a flange 48. It is fastened by two screws 50. The upper bearing 28 can be moved about a pivot point located behind the front side of the housing 11, so that the insertion of the film and the cleaning strips is made easier. Through the housing wall 11 a line leads 51> and 40. While the inside of the ultrasonic device An outlet 52 leads from the line 51 to points below the horizontal surface 53 of the bearing 28. The line 51 leads the cleaning liquid from a container into the interior of the ultrasound device and by the outlet 52. From here the liquid reaches the cleaning strip directly. In this way, the fabric cleaning strip is soaked with liquid and a significantly more effective wiping material for the film strip is created. A similar arrangement is provided for the ultrasonic device 4l. The liquid is supplied under pressure and can therefore be supplied vertically upward in the ultrasonic device 41.
When the film is in the direction of arrow 31 at high speed is moved and the cleaning strips in the direction 35 and 38 run, the cleaning strip via the outlets 52 will be continuous Cleaning fluid supplied. The ultrasonic devices 40 and 41 generate a cavitation effect in the liquid, both on the upper and the lower Surface of the film strip 15 · This cavitation causes dirt particles to vibrate and so penetrate the film surface into the fabric strips 32 and 33.
The two bearings generate a sufficiently large pressure on the fabric strips, as required for the desired wiping effect is.
