Zweck der vorliegenden Erfindung ist, einer Flüssigkeit, die in einem aus zwei zylindrischen Gehäusen verschiedenen Durchmessers gebildeten Mantel erhitzt oder gekühlt werden soll, durch tangentiale Einführung mittels eines sich allmählich verengenden, am Mündungsstück gekrümmten Einlaufrohres eine große, nach oben hin allmählich abnehmende Laufgeschwindigkeit in der Richtung des Umfanges des Mantels zu verleihen. Infolge der raschen, tangentialen Flüssigkeitsbewegung am Einlauf wird ein für den Wärmeaustausch schädliches Absetzen von Niederschlägen, wie Kesselstein usw., vermieden; gelangt dann die Flüssigkeit nach und nach in den Bereich der Heizlamellen oder des Kühlraumes, so wird sie infolge ihrer inzwischen verminderten Geschwindigkeit auf dem langen, schraubenförmigen Wege besonders gut erwärmt oder gekühlt.
