Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Einrichtung zum Befestigen von mit Schlitzen versehenen Manschetten am Hemdärmelbund. Demselben Zweck dienende Einrichtungen sind schon bekannt geworden; sie waren bisher derart ausgebildet, daß an der Innenseite des Ärmelbundes zwei Knöpfe in einer Entfernung voneinander angebracht waren, die größer war als der gegenseitige Abstand der inneren Kanten der Manschettenschlitze. .The invention relates to a device for attaching slit cuffs to the shirt cuff. Diese bekannten Einrichtungen zeigen eine Reihe von Nachteilen, die in der Hauptsache in dem Stärken des Hemdärmelbundes liegen, da ohne dieses Stärken die Befestigung der Manschette schwer oder überhaupt nicht herzustellen ist. Die zur Befestigung dienenden Knöpfe reißen hierbei leicht in den scharfen Einschnitten der Manschette ab, da beim Stärken des Hemdärmelbundes auch, der zur Befestigung der Knöpfe auf diesem Bund dienende Faden mitgestärkt wird. Anderseits wird diese bekannte Befestigung dadurch beeinflußt, daß der Stoff nach dem Waschen eingeht. Die Knöpfe passen alsdann nicht mehr genau zu den in der Manschette vorhandenen Einschnitten, wodurch die Gefahr entsteht, daß die Knöpfe durch zu straffen Sitz der Manschette abgerissen werden. Man mußte demgemäß beim Verkauf von Hemden, deren Ärmelbunde im Sinne der bekannten Einrichtung ausgebildet waren, ausdrücklich darauf hinweisen, daß die Handbündchen nicht gestärkt werden dürfen.These known devices show a number of disadvantages, the main one lie in the strength of the shirt cuff, since without these strengths the fastening of the Cuff is difficult or impossible to manufacture.
