Die bisher vorgeschlagenen Vorrichtungen zum Festhalten des Queueleders auf der Queuespitze nach dem Aufkleben desselben leiden
an dem Uebelstande, dafs sie zu complicirt und vor allem bei der Manipulation des Aufklebens

Wie aus beiliegender Zeichnung ersichtlich, besteht die Presse aus zwei federnden Backen a
und b, welche von einem Ring d ausgehen und beim Beledern auf das Ende des Queues

Ein von dem Ring d ausgehender federnder Haken / steht hierbei in einem solchen Abstande
von der Spitze des Queues, dafs man das mit Klebestoff versehene Leder bequem auf
dieselbe bringen und mit einer Hand festhalten kann, wie Fig. 3 angiebt. Fafst man nun den
über die federnden Backen α und b geschobenen beweglichen Ring g mit der anderen
Hand und zieht denselben nach abwärts, so wird zunächst der ganze Apparat nach abwärts geschoben,
bis sich der Halter / auf das Queueleder legt. Bei weiterem Zug an dem Ring g
wird derselbe nun auf den keilartigen unteren Ansätzen i der Backen α und b gleiten und
dieselben fest an das Queue und gleichzeitig den federnden Haken auf das Leder pressen.A resilient hook / extending from the ring d is at such a distance from the tip of the cue that the leather provided with adhesive can be conveniently brought onto it and held with one hand, as FIG. 3 indicates. Die federnden Backen α und b können an
denjenigen Stellen, wo sie mit dem Queue in Berührung kommen, mit Leder oder Stoff ausgefüttert
