Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Handtuchhalter, welcher in bekannter Weise im wesentlichen aus einer hohlen Glasstange besteht, an deren Enden Zierknöpfe eingesetzt sind. Das Neue und Wesentliche der Erfindung besteht nun gegenüber dem Bekannten darin, daß die Glasstange mit einem, erhärtenden Bindemittel, in erster Linie Gips, ausgefüllt wird. Dieses Bindemittel erfüllt gleichzeitig drei verschiedene Aufgaben insofern, als es einmal als Versteifungsmittel der Glasstange, sodann gleichzeitig als Färbemittel und schließlich zum Festhalten der Zierknöpfe an den Enden dient. Zu diesem Zwecke ragen die Zierknöpfe mit einer Verjüngung in die Glasröhre hinein. Diese Verjüngung enthält Einschnürungen, die von dem eingefüllten Bindemittel allseitig umgriffen werden, so daß nach dem Erhärten des Bindemittels ein Herausziehen der Zierknöpfe an den Enden unmöglich ist, zumal da die Zierknöpfe sich mit ihren Verbreiterungen auf die Enden der Glasröhre auflegen und sich somit gegenseitig stützen.The subject of the invention forms a towel holder, which in a known manner consists essentially of a hollow glass rod, at the ends of which decorative buttons are used are. Der Halter besteht aus einer hohlen Glasstange 10, deren Enden die mit Einkerbungen 11 versehenen Zapfen 12 der Zierknöpfe 13 aufnehmen, welche vorzugsweise ebenfalls aus hohlem Glas hergestellt und mit einer inneren Silberschicht 14 versehen sind. Um einen guten Abschluß zwischen Stange und Knöpfen zu erzielen, sind erstere an ihren Enden wulstartig ausgebildet. Stange 10 ist vollständig mit Gips gefüllt, wobei die Füllung 15 gleichzeitig dazu dient, die Zapfen 12 und damit auch die Zierknöpfe 13 dauernd in Stange 10 zu befestigen. Die Gipsfüllung dient jedoch nicht nur zur Färbung der Glasstange und zur Befestigung der Knöpfe, sondern sie bildet auch eine künstliche Beschwerung und Verstärkung der Glasstange, um ein Brechen der letzteren während des Fortschaffens usw. zu verhindern.
