Bei diesen Maschinen wird das vom Schar ausgehobene Gut durch die Schaufeln des Wurfrades überThere are potato harvesters with a share, one on the side of an extension of the share adjoining grate with bars running transversely to the direction of travel and a throwing wheel known whose full-walled blades lie in levels that are through the Axis of the throwing wheel run. With these machines, what is lifted from the coulter is dug out Well through the blades of the throwing wheel over
ίο the extension of the share and the grate pushed, with the earth falling through the grate, while the potatoes at the end of the The grate will fall to the ground from this one. The effect of the rust is described in the Machines affected by the fact that the material is pushed together by the shovels and therefore the earth cannot fall through the grate unhindered. This evil does not apply, however, to the known machines in which the throwing blades are twisted in a helical manner. By Rather, these helically twisted throwing blades will be the good on the Grate, the bars of which run at an angle to the direction of travel, pulled apart, d. H. spread out so that the earth can pass through the grate unhindered. Same effect is to be achieved according to the invention by flat full-walled blades that so are arranged obliquely to the direction of travel that their front edge leads the rear edge. A throwing wheel with flat blades arranged in this way is of course lighter and cheaper to manufacture than a throwing wheel with helically twisted blades. In addition, through a throwing wheel with inclined flat blades in connection with a grate, the bars of which, as is known, run perpendicular to the direction of travel of the machine, the desired effect, d. H. an unhindered passage of the earth through the grate is better achieved than through the throwing wheels with helically twisted blades.
If, for example, in autumn, as a result of severe drought, the ground has become hard, or even on firm, heavy soil, arise when removing the potato dam more clods than fine soil. The fine soil probably falls through the cracks in the grate, the clods remain on the grate with the known facilities.
With the new machine, those clods that get between the grate bars are pressed sideways against the grate bars by the inclined, level blades, dragged along the same, thereby crushed and pushed down. Those But clods that lie on the grate bars or are stacked on top of each other become oblique thrown at the following grate bars and suffer as a result of the repeated impact a vigorous crushing until they finally get between the grate bars and, as previously described, pushed through them.
