Eisenbetonaufsatz für Holzpfähle, Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 14. März 1912 ab.Reinforced concrete attachment for wooden posts, patented in the German Empire on March 14, 1912.
The replacement of wooden piles with reinforced concrete is only possible above the deepest groundwater level "necessary. It is therefore more economical in many cases not to use the stake all the way made of reinforced concrete, but of two parts, namely a lower wooden post, which does not protrude above the deepest water level, and an adjoining reinforced concrete pile. The previous However, designs of this type show a rather poor connection between these two materially different parts.
In order to be able to cast concrete on the wooden post in the gates of a pipe, into which the higher water levels do not penetrate during construction and in which the groundwater (bog water) has no influence on the still fresh concrete, in the sense of the present invention between the wooden post and the Concrete-receiving pipe attachment from the house made such a firm connection that it is possible to ram the wooden post together with the pipe attachment into the earth in order to then bring the concrete into this pipe, which is kept dry.
In the drawing they show
Fig. Ι and 2 the arrangement in two mutually perpendicular longitudinal sections through the upper pile part with a view of the lower pile part.
Figures 3 and 4 show details of the connection in longitudinal and cross-section.
Fig. 5 illustrates the pipe attachment before being pushed onto the pile head.
According to the embodiment shown, the fixed connection between the wooden post a and the pipe b , which forms the essence of the invention, is achieved in that the wooden post head c has the shape of an inverted truncated cone which protrudes into the pipe b. After the pile has been driven in, the pile head c completely fills the pipe due to the widening caused by the driving.
In order to make it easier to fit the pipe b onto the pile head c , the lower end of the pipe is provided with slots f on its circumference up to the level of the truncated cone. After sliding onto the pile head, the slots f are closed and welded. To secure the connection, after the tube attachment δ has been grafted on, a two-part iron ring d (FIGS. 3 and 4) is usually placed around it and closed on it, for example by means of autogenous welding. This iron ring d must sit so far apart from the wood that there is no edge.
Any iron reinforcement of the concrete can either also be attached to the wooden pole attached or introduced later. Concreting happens after the wooden post with the pipe attachment is completely driven in.
