Reinforced concrete pilots placed on a wooden post.
The replacement of wooden pilots with reinforced concrete is only necessary above the deepest groundwater level. It is therefore more economical in many cases to manufacture the pilots from two parts, namely from a wooden pilot that does not protrude above the deepest water level and from an adjoining reinforced concrete pilot. The previous explanations of this type, however, show a very poor connection between these two materially different parts, in that one almost invariably deals with a full one
EMI1.1
In order to carry out concreting on the wooden pilot under the protection of a pipe, which does not allow the higher water levels to penetrate the pipe during construction and which keeps the bad influences of the surrounding groundwater (bog water) away from the still fresh concrete, is now, within the meaning of the present invention , between the wooden pilot and the pipe holding the concrete, a connection that is so firm that it is possible to ram the wooden pilot with the pipe attachment into the ground in order to then bring the concrete into this dry opening.
In the drawings, an embodiment of the invention selected by way of example is illustrated, namely, FIGS. 1 and 2 show the arrangement in two vertical sections perpendicular to one another or in a view, FIGS. 3 and 4 show details of the connection in longitudinal and cross-section, FIG. Figure 5 illustrates the pipe attachment before being pushed onto the pile head.
According to the embodiment shown, the fixed connection between wooden pilot a and tube b, which forms the essence of the invention, is achieved in that the wooden pole head c is given the shape of an inverted truncated cone which protrudes into tube b. After the pile has been driven in, the pile head c completely fills the pipe due to the widening caused by the driving.
In order to facilitate the fitting of the tube b to the pile head c, it is advisable to have the lower end of the tube around its entire circumference up to the level of the truncated cone with symmetrically arranged slots. f to be provided. After sliding it onto the pile head, the slots f are closed and welded. To insure the connection, after the tube b has been grafted on, a two-part iron ring d (FIGS. 3 and 4) is usually placed around it and then suitably closed by means of autogenous welding. This iron ring d must sit back from the wood so that no edge is formed.
Any reinforcement of the concrete can either also be attached to the Holzpilotf or it can be added later. The concreting is done after the pile has been driven completely.
The design described guarantees a reliable connection between the wooden post and the pipe attachment.
P ATENT CONTEST:
1. Reinforced concrete pilots placed on a wooden pole, characterized in that the wooden pilots are inextricably connected at their upper end to a protective tube which is advantageously made of iron and which receives the concrete.
