Die Maschine besteht aus folgenden Theilen:The machine consists of the following parts:

Aus einem aufrechtstehenden, rotirenden Baum α, auf welchen der zu doublirende Stoff sorgfältig und fest aufgedreht ist, und zwar so, dafs die Breiterimitte des Stoffes (durch Zusammenschlagen sofort zu ermitteln) genau mit der Längenmitte des Baumes a, welche durch eine Linie um denselben angegeben, zusammentrifft. Der Baum kann, da sein oberes Lager a² mit Scharnieren befestigt und aufklappbar ist, aus- und eingesetzt werden, und befindet sich am oberen und unteren Ende je ein hölzerner Stellring α¹, um das Verschieben des Stoffes nach oben oder unten zu verhindern.1.
