Abstract
Description
Langlauf-Skischuh Cross-country ski boot
The invention relates to a cross-country ski boot with an outsole made of elastic plastic, e.g. polyamide, especially with a front sole extension, the width of which corresponds at most to the width of the ski and that for fastening the ski boot is used on the ski by means of a binding.
It is known that when practicing cross-country skiing, in particular of the competition, sufficient flexibility of the outsole of the ski boot Advantages brings, because it means that the skier only requires relatively little effort Lifting the ski boot from the ski surface, i.e. when pulling the ski, is required. On the other hand, the outsole of the ski boot must have sufficient transverse stability and torsion resistance, since they only locally overlap at their front end the ski binding is connected to the ski and only through this stability and torsion resistance provides the skier with the necessary guidance security, especially on descents. These demands, which are to a certain extent opposed to one another, exist above all in the more recently developed Cross-country ski boots where the connection of the ski boot to the ski takes place via a front sole extension, the width of which corresponds at most to the width of the ski, which is usually narrower than the ski width (cf. DT-OS 2 610 041). Here it is necessary in the front sole area a particularly strong design of the outsole to provide the necessary transverse stability and torsion-free, but this at the expense of the desired flexibility goes. This means that there is a risk that the athlete will exert an increased amount of force required when turning, which may reduce the stride length, and that tensions are exerted on the heel area of the shoe encourage involuntary slipping out of the shoe.
I) he described relatively high strength requirements for the outsole of cross-country ski boots have been used as sole material for a long time to use relatively hard, resilient plastics, such as hard plastics Polyamide.
It is well known that soles made of such materials have an extraordinary tendency to wear strong for sliding, so that even with the fine profiling that is usually provided walking is made extremely difficult because there is a constant risk of slipping.
J)er Eriindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Langlauf-Skischuh zu schaffen, bei dem die gewiinscht-e Biegsamkeit der Laufsohle gegeben ist, ohne dass hierdurch die notwendige Querstabilität und Verwindungsfreiheit im Bereich der Vordersohle merklich beeinträchtigt ist, und bei dem die Ausrutschgefahr trotz Verwendung von Polyamid oder polyamidähnlichen Werkstoffen als Sohlenmaterial erheblich gemindert ist.J) he invention is therefore based on the task of a cross-country ski boot to create, in which the desired flexibility of the outsole is given, without that this provides the necessary transverse stability and freedom from torsion in the area the front sole is noticeably impaired, and in which the risk of slipping despite Use of polyamide or polyamide-like materials as sole material is considerable is reduced.
According to the invention this is achieved in that the outsole in Front sole area one or more strip-shaped Zones of weakness which extends between the ball of the foot and the joint in the longitudinal direction of the sole extend.
The weakening zones are expediently through a locally smaller one Formed sole thickness, creating recesses on the outsole side.
The weakening zones, which are strip-shaped, for example in a Extend width of 1 - 2 cm from the ball of the foot to the beginning of the joint, allow the front sole area untouched up to the ball of the foot and impair the desired stiffness not. Since they are only locally formed in the sole and extend, for example, side by side in the longitudinal center of the sole, remains There is enough material in the sole edge areas through which also next to the weakening zones sufficient transverse stability is still retained. This is favored by that the sole width is greatest in the area of the ball of the foot.
Due to the most practical design of the weakening zones in the form of Recesses on the running side, which result in a local reduction in the sole thickness, sharp edges are also formed, which in contrast to the previously usual fine Profiling result in a significantly greater sliding safety.
However, it is particularly advantageous to have profile strips in these recesses made of a soft, resilient material, e.g.
Rubber o. The like. To attach, with the profile strips expediently wear a relatively rough profile. By using a relatively soft material for these profile strips, the risk of slipping is further reduced, as such As is well known, the material is naturally prone to sticking to snow is better suited for non-slip profiles.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to FIG explained in more detail in the accompanying drawings. In the drawings: Fig. 1 shows a Top view of the underside of the front sole of a cross-country ski boot according to the invention, and Fig. 2 is a fragmentary side elevation view, partially, of the front shoe area cut along the line II-II in big. 1.
Fig. 2).FIG. 1 shows schematically the front part of an outsole 1 of a cross-country ski boot e.g. according to DT-OS 2 610 041, the one at the front end of the sole has a sole extension 2, which with a ski binding, not shown of the ski cooperates. The outsole 1 consists of a relatively hard one Polyamide material, that of the sole extension 2 and the adjoining front sole area 3 (Fig. 1) gives sufficient transverse stability and torsional strength, as required for safe ski guidance. Approximately in the area of the bale 4, the Outsole 1 has two strip-shaped recesses 5 on the running side, which are approximately parallel run towards each other in the longitudinal direction of the sole and extend to the beginning of the joint 6 extend. In the area of the recesses 5, the sole thickness is only that Half to a third of the sole thickness present in the remaining sole. Laterally from the recesses 5, i.e. both in the vicinity of the sole edges and in the longitudinal center of the sole sufficiently wide areas of the sole remain in place to ensure transverse stability at this point not to affect too much. Since the recesses 5 in the longitudinal direction of the Extend the outsole and only have a relatively small width (about 1 - 2 cm), this results in a uniform weakening over the entire area in which the Recesses 5 are arranged so that the outsole 1 when it is bent none disturbing kink in the area of the ball 4 or in the gel 'receives. To this end the ends of the recesses 5 are also rounded. This also applies to the transition from the larger sole thickness to the smaller sole thickness in the area of the recesses 5, in order to avoid notch loads in the bottom of the recesses 5 that lead to Stress peaks and the resulting breaks could lead (see. Fig. 2).
Die Erzeugenden dieser gekrümmten Verbindungsfläche stehen dabei im wesentlichen senkrecht zu der flach ansteigenden Seitenfläche jedes tetraederförmigen Profilkörpers 9.In the recesses 5 these filling profile strips 8 are made Rubber or some other soft, flexible material is used. The profile strips 8 have a relatively coarse half-cam profile, e.g. according to DT-AS 2 116 488, its Profile body 9 are essentially tetrahedral, two steeply rising side surfaces and instead of a tetrahedron edge, a substantially cylindrically curved connecting surface that connects the steeply rising side surfaces with one another without edges. The generators of this curved connecting surface are essentially perpendicular to the gently sloping side surface of each tetrahedral profile body 9.
Due to the arrangement of the zones of weakness formed by the recesses 5 the bending stress acting on the heel area of the outsole 1 is reduced, so that the force acting on the shaft on the heel side when the foot rolls off which tends to pull the shoe down from the heel. Also will the bending of the outsole facilitates without thereby the necessary for the Fihoung Rigidity is noticeably impaired. The risk of slipping is due to the arrangement the profile strips 8 significantly reduced, so that walking on snow with the inventive Cross-country ski boot is considerably lighter.
Instead of the two elongated weakening zones, it can be used thought be to provide only a single central weakening zone. Longitudinal extent and width and the depth of the recesses 5 must of course be based on the already existing rigidity the outsole 1 must be matched. That means that if you choose one from the start more flexible front sole, for example as a result of the appropriate selection of a softer sole material, the size of the recesses, in particular their extension must be kept smaller in the longitudinal direction.
